“The Alpha awaits your arrival.” "Don't call me that yet," I said. I didn’t look back at the world I was leaving behind. The jet began to move, carrying me south to a future I had seized for myself.

This wasn’t luck. This was the Moon Goddess clearing the board for me. And I had just made my first move.

Looking at one of the black knights, I placed it on its side. That was done. I looked back at the hatch for a moment. He was still a wild card on what he would do next but I didn’t need to move him anywhere.

As the blue light illuminated first, Bonnie instantly placed a blue humanoid piece on the spot. The next moment, a red light appeared.
