Mala Novel Episode 3 Novels & Stories

CHAPTER FORTY-THREE MALAKAI * * Trigger Warning: This scene involves themes of homophobia, abuse, and brainwashing. Reader discretion is advised. This is pure fiction and does not depict the actions of any religious group. It's white everywhere. My head is hurting. My foggy brain can't even think of why I'm here. The only thing I feel is terror when I realize I am strapped to the bed. Is this a clinic? But... Why?

★NINA★ The morning after the gym incident felt like a lesson in suffocation. I expected a pink slip; instead, I got a ghost. Malachi moved through the house like a specter of his former self—rigid, silent, avoiding my gaze. Whenever our eyes nearly met, he would pivot away, his jaw tightening so hard I could almost hear bone grinding against bone. I sat in the dining room, idly picking at a piece of toast while Lila explained the complicated politics of her stuffed-animal kingdom, when a shadow fell across the table.

‌ “Fine‌. We'll prepare.” When we ste‌pped out of the map room,‌ Mia appeared, her eyes red. “I'm comin‍g with you,” she sa‌id. “Mia..” “No,” she cut me off.‌ “I need t‍‍o see Valeri‍‌e. Alpha Rowan's callous words echoed in the room, further fueling my disbelief and fear. What could they possibly be planning? I moved closer to the door as curiosity got the best of me. Before I could process their words fully, a voice from behind shattered the tense silence—Malia. “I guess you are eavesdropping again, huh?" Her sneer dripped with malice. Her presence only heightened my sense of dread. It was clear she despised me, coveting everything that belonged to me I tried not to look directly into Malia's penetrating eyes, but it felt pointless. I felt the weight of my uncle's commanding voice echoing through the room, sending chills down my spine, and my heart sank.

Years listening to Muize tell me I was too broken, too wolfless, too unattractive to ever be chosen. And now the Moon Goddess has given not just one? But three fucking mate? My mother had destroyed one marriage. Just one. She couldn't keep a single mate and had burned everything down around her trying. What made anyone think I was equipped to handle three full grown Alpha males? Absolutely not. The panic hit fast and confused. I shoved the bottle onto the bar, pushed through the crowd and fled back into the mansion. My chest raised and fell rapidly. I barely made it through the bedroom door before it opened again behind me.

Rex’s hand stayed in mine, his red eyes soft but vigilant, the bond between us pulsing, warm and unshakable. ‎ ‎Mara, the Ironclaw Alpha, stood near the fire, her grey-streaked hair catching the light, her storm-cloud eyes on me. “You’ve changed everything, Talia,” she said, her voice steady, carrying over the crackle of the flames. “The land breathes again because of you. But the dark wolves—those who fed on the curse—they’ll come for you again.” ‎

”You’ll never make it back in time,” Genevieve was watching all her friends lay dead around her. ”You said forty-eight hours. Trust me, we’ll make it back.” I said and raised my head. ”Amber,” Malia's voice rang out as she took a step toward me. When she was about to take another, her father blocked her way and raised his hand. Malia's eyes glowed and her canines extended. She raised her hand, blocking her father's punch but instead her mother came up and shoved her into the brick wall. Malia fell down, she wasn't strong, she had been tortured and starved.

Malia hastily ran after Leona, who was almost out of sight when she passed the crossroads. From the opposite direction, three men ran and accidentally hit Malia until she fell —sitting on the floor. The three of them turned around and immediately helped Malia to her feet. "Oh? You who came to our house yesterday?" said Malia when her nether managed to catch the figure of the three men who had hit her. The three of them bowed their bodies slightly while saying an apology. "You're a member of the Argent Family?" Gabe asked curiously. His brown bead sparkled when he met Malia's. The girl nodded –smiled politely.

Malia’s P.O.V. “Malia.” Callisto’s voice from the intercom filled the kitchen. I push the button and answer him, “Yes? I’m in the kitchen right now, and I’m having brunch because I stayed up all night watching a drama last night, so I woke up quite late. “Come to the underground.” That’s all he said after the light on the intercom went out. “He really likes to order people around, huh? Anyhow, I finish my food first before going to the underground. “What is it that he wants now?
