The rogue scrambled to get up, but the larger wolf was relentless, delivering a crushing blow that sent the rogue skidding backward. The rogue’s growls turned into whimpers, its body trembling in fear as it attempted to retreat. With one last defiant snarl, the rogue wolf turned and bolted, disappearing into the shadows from which it had come. Lily's eyes widened in disbelief as the wolf's form began to shrink, its powerful limbs retracting. She stepped back slightly, feeling the earth beneath her feet as the wolf shrank, revealing not just a man, but someone she k

change. It was a grotesque, beautiful horror. Bones snapped and elongated. Skin rippled as fur retreated into pores. In a matter of seconds, three naked, panting men stood in the dirt, their bodies covered in scars and fresh, bleeding gashes. "He’s losing his grip, boys," one of the men spat, wiping blood from his mouth. "An Alpha who can't control his hunger for a human girl is a liability." The black wolf—Zayden—didn't shift.
