Maya constructs the map at her desk, after midnight, the way other people pray. It isn't on paper. Paper isn't safe, she learned that lesson and underlined it twice. The map lives in her head, in the same filing system that has, across two lifetimes, never once misplaced a document. She is, if nothing else, organized. It's perhaps her most appealing quality and certainly her most unsettling one.

Overtaken by the waters?”

Otherwise, it would be a waste of too much time if such a huge Domain were to randomly crash into it like a headless fly. "Wait a minute." As Nicolas Gordon spoke, he took out a map from his storage bag. The map seemed to be an ordinary piece of paper, but when he unfolded it, everyone's eyes flashed. They looked at each other and saw surprise in each other's eyes. On the map, there were not only detailed symbols of mountains and rivers, but also clear coordinates. What was even more amazing was that the mountains and rivers on the map were all active! Even through this map, one could know which area was sunny and which area was rainy!

Chad was unsure how the sudden increase in earthbound immortals was related to that. Micah smiled as he took a map from the living room's bookshelf and spread it on the table. "Do you know what this is?" Chad looked at it. "A world map. No, wait! What type of map is this?" The map showed nine continents without latitude and longitude, but the level of detail suggested that it was extremely accurate. Micah laughed. "This is indeed a world map, but it's a reproduction of one from 5,000 years ago, accurately copied from the Nine Cauldrons."

Chase said in a low voice with a bit dissapointment in hidden in it. "Then tell him there's a thing called G****e Maps in a smart phone. I use it everytime. I'm afraid that I would get lost. " Hazel said in a duh tone to which Chase and Mia were disappointed but not surprised. And Mia signalled Chase to continue ignoring Hazel.

But he reminds himself of the task at hand and focuses on finding the perfect map. The shop owner, sensing Tritan's curiosity, presents a selection of maps carefully rolled and secured. Each map represents a different level of detail and knowledge about Aqualearia. Tritan carefully examines each one, unfurling them and tracing his finger along the coastlines, the intricate markings of currents, and the locations of significant landmarks.

It was hard to decipher at first, but as I studied it more closely, I began to see patterns and meanings emerge. There were trees marked with small circles, indicating the locations of groves or stands of trees. There were also lines that seemed to represent streams or rivers, with tiny squares indicating the presence of bridges or crossings. As I traced my finger over the map, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. This map had been used by countless people before me, guiding them through the forest and helping them find their way. It was a small piece of history, and I was grateful to have it in my hands.

Tapping on the notification the first thing I see is a picture of the rolled out scroll, zooming in on the picture to make the image bigger and wider I frown at the weird graphics drawn on an old, brown coloured paper. The map, as they call it, is nothing but a graphic image of red X's and black median strips (dashes) that curves in various directions. This isn’t a game of x marks the spot, so what the hell is this supposed to be? Lifting the walkie-talkie, I mumble into the radio. “What the hell is this, it’s just a bunch of scribbling.”
