Eyes wide, thoughts scattered, I rush to where Marcel is and shove my hand into his chest, shifting his heart from its normal position. His grip on Rain buckles and she drops with a thump on the bed, blood pooling around her, eyes lifeless. “She isn't the mayor's daughter. Rain is a lycan.
