**** Back at Isaac's bedroom…. Lilith's fear was extinguished as Isaac returned to the room. He said no word to her but simply went back to the bed and made his back to face her. Her eyes slowly traveled to the mark Isaac had on his neck and to her heart-shattering dismay, it seemed to be fading. Isaac was fighting with the mating mark and the fact that it was fading meant that Isaac was winning. She needed to act fast else, she wouldn't have any connection with Isaac and it wouldn't be so hard for Isaac to take her back to her father.

“Serenya. I am an Alpha of command, not chatter. What I speak, you breathe. You belong to me. I bet None dared touch you—none dared even breathe near you—at the sound of my name and the mention of my fangs glowing between your thighs.” His cheap boast scalds my skin. My wolf rakes against my ribs, but I choke back the truth burning in my chest: the second mark. A true mate’s brand seared into me, hidden. My mother’s warning tolls like a bell of doom—the second mark must never be revealed. I watch Varyn glory in his hollow strength. “Prepare yourself. Leaving us in a surreal silence where only the destruction in the room and bitter facts in my brain made it real. “Olivia...” I looked down at Mark, who had his eyes partially open. “Don´t speak please, don´t agitate.”

He shook his head. I came over, getting close to him, as we both sat by the fire and touched the key. As I turned it over, I noticed something. I licked my finger, and rubbed it alongside the metal. A final layer of dust evaporated, and there was visible a small inscription, written in a delicate script. The Vincent House. I looked to Caleb. “Do you know it?” He leaned back, shook his head and sighed. “I guess our search isn’t over,” he finally said.

She hasn’t moved, she just keeps looking up at me. My eyes dart down and make contact with the side of her neck. There, barely visible a mark, the mark that I placed there. King is howling in delight in my mind. My eyes quickly make their way back to hers to see them hardened, she swiftly turns away and heads out the door. The clearing of a throat is when I remember that there were other people in the room. “Your mark may not be gone but it is fading.” That mutt states and when he turns his collar moves and I see that mark on his neck. Did Olivia mark another male? King is thrashing around in my mind and my blood is boiling.

She marked the loyal.” He spread his arms, showing his chest - the mark burned deep into his flesh. The crescent. The claw. The same symbol scorched into the gates. Rafe took a half-step forward, his tone low and lethal. “She didn’t do this.” Aldric’s eyes flicked back to me. “She called you, too, didn’t she? You feel her in your blood.”
