Jake Smith made his way towards the bus stop with an easily detectable fire of anger in his eyes which could burn down an entire city. He had visited his girlfriend, Annie Walter only to catch her shamelessly kissing another man much to his amazement. Jake was an average working-class young man and despite his workaholic ethics, he had been available for Annie anytime she needed his help. The most painful part of the whole scenario was that they were engaged to get married soon. He wondered why she could betray him like that repeatedly but regardless of how much such a question needed an answer, there was none.

I breathed out. “I want us to get remarried the right way this time. Instead of in a courthouse, I want to marry you in front of our family and friends. I am not asking for a divorce because I want us to be over. I just want to give you the wedding you deserve and have it so I can stand in front of everyone and tell them how much I love you.”
