My hand went to her stomach. “Do you want to call Doc Payten?”
“Oh, no, Darling,” she said with a warm smile. “I’m fine, just tired.”
“I’m going to go have a lie-in as well,” Maw said and stood from where she sat next to Bear.
“Rest well, my Love,” Bear said.
We watched our respective ladies leave the room; arms wrapped about each other in solidarity.
Once we heard them upstairs, I got up and poured us each a few fingers of our Frost Reserve.
