Finally, after almost an hour of shaking hands and hugging people, the crowd dispersed.
"We had better get a dance in before we are bombarded again," River said, leaning close to her ear so that his warm breath tickled her face.
"That's exactly what I was thinking," she said with a smile.
Hand in hand, they stepped out onto the dance floor. Of course, the band had to switch songs immediately and play the song that Michael had requested for the bride and groom's first song. Ellie had told him she didn't care, so he had chosen the same song that he and her mother had danced to all those years ago, a slow, sweet song called, "Love You Forever, My Mate."
