Samantha Point of View Aria and I watched as my other self walked away with the boy who claimed to be her mate. Not long after, the scenery began to change. I looked at Aria, waiting for her to confirm what I just saw. Aria nodded and told me, "He is your mate. Ryder was your mate because I was in you and my mate was in him, which basically made you mates. But without me, you would have belonged to someone else. You were someone's mate."

I realized with horror that he was profoundly drunk. “Alpha Drake?” I called out carefully. “You are in the wrong room.” “That’s what makes me a terrible person. I mean, what kind of man mates with the daughter of the man who killed his parents? I was so confused because why did I really want to touch this man that I hated so much?
