The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

The Carrero Heart (series book 2)

So scared and it’s consuming me. There are so many reasons that me and a baby should never be paired up. I have seriously no maternal instinct, no great beginning in life to show me what a mom should be like with a baby and no desire to throw my life away so soon. “Stop wallowing and get up. You’re coming to the kitchen to eat and then I’m showering you and getting you out of this bed.” Arry yanks me by the ankle and sends me flying backwards to land on my back on the bed, which is now a little food splattered from nesting in here all day.

Surrogate Wife For The Mysterious Billionaire

Surrogate Wife For The Mysterious Billionaire

If she saw the boy, if she held him… He was terrified her maternal instincts would instantly kick in, and she would realize Cameron was the baby she thought she had a few months ago. He had read enough medical journals to know. A mother’s instinct was a powerful, inexplicable thing, and Damon could not afford to take any chances. His eyes drifted back to the front porch, watching her pace back and forth in her elegant wedding gown. He hadn’t admitted it to himself at the church, but seeing her standing in front of his house in that dress gave him a strange, suffocatingly warm feeling. It felt almost… homely. Get your head out of the gutter, Damon, he snapped a

The Alpha King’s Runaway Mate

The Alpha King’s Runaway Mate

Regina clenches her teeth against the ragged cry that wants to tear its way out of her throat. Mattel had never reached for someone’s hand again, after his childhood. He can remember, with startling clarity, that instinct of reaching for his mother’s hand. That biologically ingrained act, of reaching out for comfort, in the terrifying, turbulent world that childhood can be. And, where most children found comfort and warmth and stability, Mattel had found- A startled jerk, as his mother looked as though she’d been shocked by electricity. The instinctive jolt, rearing back, her hand pulling back in towards her chest with a frightened, alarmed expression in her eyes.

Dead at Heart

Dead at Heart

"If you want anything to eat, just tell me. I'll make it for you every day. It's much easier to have me do it than a maid." He could tell Ariel was seriously thinking about the baby, and he was certain that she didn't dislike it. Not wanting to affect her appetite, he set down his apron and turned to leave. As Ariel sat in thought, a gentle kick from her baby brought her back to the moment. She stiffened slightly, experiencing a feeling entirely new to her. The motion was so faint it almost felt imaginary, yet it pulled hard at the strings of her maternal instinct. Whether from hormones or other factors, it began to overwhelm her.

I read the complete Chinese version; jays and Ariel finally get together. It was a wonderful, short, and concise version. However, the English version being translated into Arabic is drawn out with too many events and characters intertwined. I didn't like the story.

The Price of His Betrayal

The Price of His Betrayal

It stretched across her face like a mask cracking at the edges. Crystal’s eyes flicked to Olivia’s mouth, studying the forced smile with thinly veiled disgust. But she didn’t call it out. She didn’t scream or throw her coffee. Instead, she just shook her head slowly, like someone watching a scene they’d outgrown. She leaned back slightly, crossing her legs with deliberate grace. When she finally spoke, her voice was quiet but clear, and far more lethal than a raised voice could ever be. “With all due respect,” she began, her eyes never leaving Olivia’s, “maternal instinct is supposed to protect. Not persecuted.”

When The Wrong One Loves You Right

When The Wrong One Loves You Right

My Alpha, My Desire

My Alpha, My Desire

It was a wild, untamed power that flowed through me, intertwining with my maternal instincts. As I looked down at my pregnant belly, I felt a mix of fear and determination. The safety of my unborn child was paramount, and I would do anything to protect it. I knew that controlling my instincts and maintaining my humanity would be essential. Just as I had transformed, I felt my insides healing as my child was kept safe. The healing process had healed the child within me as well. I remembered a trauma I had as a child which must have locked away my wolf from coming forth.

The Hybrid's Hope

The Hybrid's Hope

Somehow, even in her sleep, she managed to hold him securely in her arms. I stood there, watching her holding my son, both of them sound asleep. No matter how angry I am at her, I still love her. I still want her. I don’t understand her choices. I don’t understand her need or desire to keep her pregnancy and my pups from me, but I can’t deny that she’s doing an amazing job at taking care of them. After hearing Orsa’s story, I know Hope must have done everything possible to save my pups. Hearing that little Matthan spent weeks in an incubator only reinforces that. I always knew Hope would make an amazing mother. Both the wolf and the bear in her have strong maternal i

Rejected And Reborn

Rejected And Reborn

So much survived together-and we could survive this too. A trembling hand pressed against my stomach, feeling the life that grew inside me. My child, our child, pulsed with a faint warmth. Protection surged through me. My maternal instincts sharpened, unrelenting. Nothing, not even the rogue Beta or the traitorous elders, could break the bond I shared with Axel or the drive to protect what was ours. Another argument, this time from below in the courtyard, was heated and dangerous. “We can’t entrust him to come back safely!” one elder yelled.
