Animal Instinct

Animal Instinct

She touched his hand, "Hey ... relax ... I got this ... you're underestimating my survival skill, like you said ... animal instinct, I think it's embedded in our DNA to find a way to survive when we need it most." He nodded, not the least bit convinced. He didn't want to sound condescending, he chose not to say anything. Her instincts probably have never been exercised and polished since the day she was born. Like any caged animals in the zoo, they would have to re-learn everything once they were back to their natural habitat. Most may not even survive and had to be placed in a sanctuary instead. "Or ..." she looked at him intently. He waited for her next sentence. "You can come with me? I'l

Ok. I need to know what happens next. When can so expect book 2. I am waiting for Armando to come out of this coma and Diego and Ari life on the run has just begun. Don’t leave me hanging please. I am hooked and need the ending.

I definitely recommend this book. All the characters are really intruiging, even the antagonist. I even sympathize for him, why he became who he is now. I actually don't know who to ship: Ari&Diego, or Ari&Armand 🤭 Armand maybe a coo2x, but I want to give him the benifit of the doubt.

Lotus of Broken Seed

Lotus of Broken Seed

But this time, she will make sure she can protect the remaining children she has. Or at least she tried. She remembered the time of her pregnancy. All of her pregnancies were difficult and long. But they want to have their children, so she did her best to deliver them. Even when she was having Luther, for she almost lost him. Now, death is imminent, and she is watching her children die, just like how a candle lost its light in front of a wind. No wonder people gave maternal instinct with loud applauses. It was genuine and more potent than what they had said.

The Alpha King Maker (Ties to the Wolf Blood)

One caveat, though, the baby should be less than 10 weeks old. I say a little prayer to the Moon Goddess that Kinsley does not shift out of impulse. I have to remind Kinsley to rein her emotional outbursts. I might not have paternal instincts for the baby but I do want to keep her safe. Her. Wow. That’s so surreal. I’m having a baby she-wolf. But why am I not feeling any enthusiasm? I don't remember having any familial instincts since finding out that I fathered a child. This just reinforces my doubts. Am I really the dad?

One chapter and and I was hooked! I love the way this author writes. It’s easy to follow and got me excited right away. I can’t put it down. Now I’m invested and can’t wait to see what happens next. Ahhhh!!! Cillian or Andrei I’m just dying!!!! Definitely give this a read. You won’t be disappointed.

While waiting for updates, I always re-read all the way from Page 1 and it always takes me to a different world. I would like to be Kayleigh even just for one day. I am madly in love with Cillian, obsessed with Andrei, crushing on Gio and Gunner, fantasizing on the Russian twins. Love this book!

The Alpha King’s Special Mate

The Alpha King’s Special Mate

And that was to keep the baby’s existence from him. I hadn’t met my pup yet, but the fierce maternal instinct within me was rooted deep, and I would do anything to protect it. If Gabriel knew I was pregnant, I couldn’t even imagine what he would have done to my pup. He promised to come for me when I conceived. But he would never take my pup. Never. I would fight with everything I had to protect what was mine. The memories of yesterday came rushing again, causing my chest to tighten, a knot twisting in my stomach. I needed fresh air—a whole lot of it.

The Alpha With a Heart of Stone

The Alpha With a Heart of Stone

This instinct to provide and nurture my mate is almost similar to the one one feels for their pup, only in a different manner. I want my children to be safe, content and capable human beings. Yet I feel comfortable leaving them in the hands of those I trust. The thought of Nivia always lingers in the back of my mind, like an unscratchable itch. The longer we don’t mate, the stronger it becomes. I must have her. I must see her come undone by my touch. I must mark her and claim her as mine. Does she feel similar? Is it why her behaviour has changed and she’s become more docile?

Redemption of The Dragon Prince

Redemption of The Dragon Prince

Even if it was a deception, it was a gentle one. As the pounding on my door continues, the urge to switch to my bestial form and curl up around my egg is so overwhelmingly strong that my bones ache with the need to protect the last of my babies. But if I do that, if I become the nesting mother, I lose my ability to keep her safe from the monsters lurking in the hall, at least in part. A broody mother can't help it. We become pure instinct. And it's those instincts now which are telling me to hide my little miracle, to keep her from being discovered as the heavy door opens and Rakasah enters, trailed by two initiates still fresh enough that their tattoos of devotion to the sacred void have ye

The Luna's Rogue

The Luna's Rogue

I wouldn’t allow another mother to be apart from her child. We won’t allow it- a soft voice growled softly into my head. Maddy, I realized. My wolf. My wolf was back, and she was just as furious as I was. The fire that burned inside me was now doubled, fueled by her fierce maternal instincts and protective nature. This is wrong, - she continued, her voice like a low rumble in the back of my mind. - This pup belongs with their mother. We will make it right.

Lead back to You

Lead back to You

She was inches from exploding. "We can't find them anymore." "What do you mean you can't find them? You just took them in to be dressed and ready for their second entrance. What on earth do you mean?" Her voice lowered into what was a dead calm. I quickly intervened when I sensed the presence of her wolf rising to the surface seething with rage. Like nature demanded, all species who passed through motherhood were fiercely protective of their offsprings. It didn't even matter what they were, as long as the mother perceived them as theirs.

I blurt out, and his exterior stone breaks just enough for me to see the ghost of a flinch from him "I'll admit, it wasn't easy at first. But it was her decision, and parental instincts kicked in with the first ultrasound. That's how it was for all my kids, but for all the mothers of my kids, instinct kicked in as soon as they found out they were pregnant. We had managed to hide the mating bond from her father for a long time.

Amazing story! Probably one of my top 10 favorites. Written extremely well, flowed beautifully, full of detail and suspense - absolutely worth a read. So excited for the next book. Well done, author! :)

loved this story! I can't wait to for part 2! For those unsure of reading because it's not complete, it ties up all loose ends except one before it ends. It won't leave you feeling like you wasted your time like most.

THE DOOR

THE DOOR

Stop. Mother. Every time the vocalizations mimicked human speech, Mwajuma’s natural empathy—the deep, protective instinct that had defined her entire life in Mapambazuko—flared like a dying ember trying to catch fire. It was the instinct of a woman who had once used her earth magic to shield fleeing children from colonial bullets. Her heart ached to tear the doors off their hinges, to shatter the chains, and to stop the suffering. But then, her right hand would slowly drift upward to rest against her collarbone.
