Chapter Three Hundred And Seventy-Nine Present Day. Maya sat primly beside Zaire in the sleek black Maybach, as it rolled down the exquisite roads of Oakcrest. She held her head up proudly, and one long spender leg was crossed over the other. She was wearing a long white dress, and sandals with low heels. She had on emerald contacts which covered her brown eyes, and her hair was dyed fiery red. Several extensions were added to give it that fuller and more wavy look.

All we wanted was to be Jacob and Sadie and be free. I found a woman by the name of Doctor Riley Kim. She is a well-known Psychiatrist here in Baker with a hell of a reputation. She is also very expensive and hard to see. I got an appointment for Sadie and me two weeks after Sadie turns eighteen. We hoped she would work with us once we told her our situation. We needed her to see Sadie as a mentally healthy woman. We needed her to see how wrong Sadies reports were. The only thing we worried about was how the doctor could get ahold of Sadies records without giving our location away. It wasn't going to be easy, but we had to try something.

When she was gone, May sighed, putting the book inside Maryam's backpack. May had a short bath. She tied a towel on her head and walked out of the bathroom to see Maryam already in her room, eating meat pie and a chilled coke drink. "That looks good. Oh, won't you give mommy some?" May joked and Maryam giggled. "I'm going out," May announced when she finished dressing up. She was putting on a strapless yellow gown that stopped just after her knees and black colored flats to match. "Where are you going to?" Maryam whined.

It's been such a long day but I don't let my emotions show up on my face, relieving my vulnerability to the world. I once made the mistake of doing that with Jayce and I'm still regretting it now.
