Teacher's Pet

Teacher's Pet

He rubbed his shin, where I just kicked him while gaping at his idiocy. “Seriously! How can you even say that? Erotica basically means fucking anyone within a 10 meters radius! Romance means it has a storyline and the characters are faithful!” I explained to him, flailing my hands around me. “O-kay... I’ll pretend I understood that.” Dodging another kick, he rose from his chair and began putting his books back inside his bag. “I need to head back now. Mom had a night-and-day shift, so I have to cook dinner. See you on Monday!”

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!

The Billionaire's Real Daughter

The Billionaire's Real Daughter

Medieval theme. Medieval is related to the middle ages, in the period of European history from AD 600 to AD 1500. During the period, women wore long tunics or gowns. A close fit to the body, full skirts, and long flaring sleeves were characteristic of upper class fashion for both men and woman. The under-tunic or chemise which was made of linen, and over it, a long ankle-reaching turn was worn by women. When Madell read from her mother’s letter that the theme for Cassius’ welcome party is Medieval, she hardly believed. Who would set up a party like those in the middle ages when King, Queen, Princes, Princess ruled the kingdom along with knights and dukes?

How We End

How We End

"What do you feel romance in the Medieval times was like?" "Well, they had no cell phones or modern means of transportation," I squinted my eyes in a different direction, appearing to think. "So my guess is that it was pretty fucked up." Kyle laughed, "Come on, Grace, be serious." "I am being serious." I chuckled. "It must've been totally boring and annoying." He frowned at me. "Sorry." I said with food in my mouth. "What does G****e say?" "Medieval romance was mostly based on chivalry, an idealized noble hero-knight and women being held in high regard." He said. "It also had fairytale-like setting and simple predictable plots."

New Romance in Marriage

New Romance in Marriage

Paige questioned, "Why aren’t you saying anything? Is it because the woman who admired you is now with someone else, and you're feeling uneasy? Isn't that how it's portrayed in TV dramas? When a woman pursues you relentlessly, you find it annoying. When she finally turns to someone else, you feel uncomfortable. "In reality, you've long grown accustomed to her pursuit, unwittingly falling in love with her. It's just that you never realize your feelings until she's gone. This is a classic case of not appreciating what you have until it's lost." "This is why it’s best you avoid those cheesy romance dramas," Chris casually remarked. "They lack substance and only lead to overthinking. Whatnots wi

Under The Wolfe Name

Under The Wolfe Name

The old wooden shelves were heavy with books, and the scent of dust and ink was oddly calming. Cat pulled out a thick anthology of Arthurian legends and flopped into one of the deep armchairs near the back. Cat held up the book, showing an illustration of Guinevere and Lancelot. The queen looked regal and heartbroken. The knight? Devoted and tragic. “Drama. Romance. Betrayal,” Cat whispered. “This is gonna be so juicy.” Elara traced the drawing with her eyes. It was a story as old as time. A woman caught between duty and desire. A man willing to risk it all.

she yelled again, sounding like a nagging mother from a movie. I did what any normal person would do in that situation—I pretended the signal was bad and hung up. She sent me over ten messages on iMessage. “This is just as I expected when she knew what happened,” I said, gazing at the stunning night view of the castle from the balcony. The castle was bathed in soft moonlight, the landscape dotted with distant lights that twinkled like stars. “This is why ladies like you don’t get invited to a ball dance. It’s ‘ball dance,’ not ‘balcony dance,’” Leo’s words made me turn toward him.

The Wolfing of Roger Willis

The Wolfing of Roger Willis

I’m kind of scared that it’s already starting to make a home inside my head. I got to literature and Mrs. Whitmore, our teacher who was evidently pregnant by the huge bump in her belly, began talking about the popular genres of literature in the twentieth century. One of them was the explosion of the werewolf fiction which I learned was portrayed in modern period with overflowing romanticism unlike its predecessor way back in the medieval era where it’s portrayed as horrifying. I couldn’t stop internally laughing at the thought that werewolves are romantic. Based on what I’ve seen so far, there’s clearly nothing romantic about turning into a beast. There’s absolutely nothing romantic about b

’ "The medieval mind understood something we've forgotten, that desire and submission are not opposites. They are partners." His eyes found mine just for a moment, and something passed through his eyes, gone before I could be certain it had happened, but I felt it in my spine, in my fingertips, in the constant pulse between my legs. "Can anyone give me an example from the text?" he asked, his eyes scanning the class. Hands rose, but I kept mine on my lap, pressing my palms together to stop their shaking. Mira was watching me and I could feel it without looking. "The speaker calls his beloved his 'lord,' " someone said. "He says he serves her pleasure."
