It was a little grand for my tastes but there was no denying its appeal. On the desk, to my surprise, were the few odds and ends I’d collected in my hospital office. They’d been neatly arranged to the side of a charging MAC Chromebook connected to a very large monitor. I’d always been a little bit of a gadget junky and really loved the dual monitor set-up I’d had back home. Home. This room felt a bit like it. I glanced around at the rest of the room, noting two massive, well-worn leather chairs near the fireplace, each one practically inviting me to sink into it.

The room was the one thing her father had let her decorate to her taste. A curvy sofa beneath the window provided a dedicated place to relax and hang out, leaving the bed across the window for sleeping. Beside her bed was a bedside table and on it was a bedside lamp, an alarm clock and her smartphone. In a corner of the room was a reserved space for studying or working. There was a table and a chair, and on the table was her laptop and tablet. A book shelf was hung above the table with books arranged neatly in it.

CAST - Linc had spent the better part of the day piecing together a portable setup for Lila’s college courses, something that could let her work comfortably in the bedroom while on bed rest. The desk was compact and sleek, easily adjustable to fit wherever she wanted to settle. He’d even added cute little details. A flexible lamp, a corkboard for pinning notes, and a set of shelves with her favorite books and notebooks neatly arranged within arm's reach of the bed.

Letting out a sigh, I let my gaze run around the room, taking the furniture, the masculine decor and the arrangement, in. The bed, a sturdy oak frame with a plush grey duvet, perched against one wall, flanked by two nightstands with sleek, silver lamps. A large, flat-screen TV hung on the wall opposite the bed, above a low wooden cabinet that seemed to hold a state-of-the-art sound system. To my left, a spacious desk sat in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, the curtains pulled back to let in a flood of sun rays. His desk was cluttered with papers, books, and a sleek, silver laptop.

In one corner, a well-equipped desk stands, featuring a sleek laptop, a compact coffee maker, and even a popcorn machine. This is not just a room; it’s a cozy haven, perfect for studying, relaxing, and indulging in small comforts. No doubt everything is expensive, too. “Uh, which bed is yours?” My eyes bounce between twin beds bedecked with rich brown bedding decorated with fiery orange leaves.

She stored her chest under her bed and took her writing tools and walked over to the desks. “Do you have a preference for which desk you would like?” she asked the other two. “No, I’m fine with which ever,” Hinat said. “Same here,” Firlea told her. Mary picked one desk and set up her tools. There was already a thick stack of paper on each desk. The room was lit by the same lamps that they had seen in the library, with magic fire. Mary looked at the one hanging over the desks. It had small screens that you could slide across. One screen was a mech. It softened the light. The other screen was solid metal and when it was pulled across, the lamp became dark.

The room was massive, almost the size of her entire home back in the pack’s village. A grand king-sized bed sat in the middle, draped in luxurious linens and surrounded by plush furniture. A large television hung on the wall, and a gaming console sat beneath it. In one corner, a sleek desk was cluttered with books, papers, and an expensive laptop. Lily’s eyes immediately landed on Liam, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor, furiously pressing buttons on a game controller. Lucas was lounging on a chair, his face illuminated by the glow of his phone screen.

I guessed she was having the same thing as me because the cookies were too much for me to eat alone, and there were two cups of lemonade. She set it down on the coffee table and pointed to the brown duvet, "We'll be sleeping there." She pointed to the centre of the living room where plush, cream-colored sectional sofas were sprawled before. We had earlier moved all to the corner, making room for the air mattress that'd be using. I inflated the air mattress, placed the pillows on it, and pulled the duvet. I watched as Casey moved the coffee table closer to the mattress before she lay on the bed.

It was covered in soft blankets and pillows, and Kira could already see herself wanting to lay down there and get a good rest. "I really need one," she thought and let out a breath, although she didn't make what she was thinking noticeable and kept her focus on the frame of the bed, which was wooden and which also matched the rest of the house. A nightstand sat beside the bed, and on it was a lamp and a book. "More books?" Kira thought and smiled to herself. "Lythari must love books." Moving on from that, she saw a wooden dresser against the wall, a small mirror and a decorative piece.

A maroon couch near the armchairs, facing away from the wall, with a white quilt draped over its back. On my left were half a dozen easels leaning on the wall, a selection of canvases and a taboret table with wheels and drawers where I could almost see colors smudged on the smooth wood from where I mixed colors. The flat area on top was the perfect space for resting the paint palette. A laptop sat on a desk with a rolling chair behind it, and a small library cabinet stacked with books my fingers were twitching to check. 1 Did I mention the room was freaking huge?
