Marred by his Betrayal

Marred by his Betrayal

I twisted, wriggling my body against the chair until I fell on the floor, with the chair behind my back. The view from the ground gave me an advantage. I sighted Drako over a stainless table, his back turned to me. Whatever he was doing must have been important to him because he ignored my little stunt. My eyes adjusted to the dim light as I scanned the room. We're in a sort of makeshift medical room. The beeping sound had come from the machines. An operating table lay in the centre of the cave, surrounded by dusty-looking machines. Rows of medical equipment and cobwebs hung on the wall.

Cycle of Cliches

Cycle of Cliches

She looked thinner and paler than she actually was when I saw her last a year ago. “Come,” she pushed the cabin door open. The cabin, with one glass window covered with blinders, is lit up by only one tube-light. It seemed to offer no additional facilities other than privacy to the patient, a small divan for their attendant to sleep, a wall-mounted TV and a dedicated washroom. Except for the portable multi-para monitor beeping at regular intervals, the oxygen cylinder placed under the bed, the saline bag hanging from the T-shaped hanger, and a transparent pipe connecting it to the veins of the right arm of Ma through the channel, there wasn’t any apparatus that can signify that her condition

HER SECRETS, HIS LOVE

HER SECRETS, HIS LOVE

A man sat in a hospital room that appeared like a bedroom in a seven-star hotel. It was luxurious and contained almost everything that a bedroom should possess. The only distinguishing factors were the beeping machines and the other medical equipment attached to the slender figure lying on the bed. He looked haggard and exhausted. Black circles were evident on his handsome face that could not be hidden by them even under such circumstances. He held on to the hand of the patient lying in bed with his eyes closed.

Mafia Men III - Mancini's Bride

Mafia Men III - Mancini's Bride

The suite was divided into a lounge and dining area with a kitchenette and a large room for the patient and it had private bathrooms. The room had a couch and armchair on which Mama was seated now. It had two television screens. Large windows let in plenty of sunlight and the views are of our landscaped exteriors. Crockery and cutlery were stocked in the kitchenette, which had a microwave oven, mini fridge, and much more stuff. The door opened and Scott walked in. He seemed calm but I noticed the bruise on his face and his busted-up knuckles. It was no surprise that he had been in a brutal fight.

I can’t choose a favorite anymore. It’s just too good. This was the book I enjoyed most, 1) because I relate a lot to the FL (character wise) and 2) because it seemed like both leads were communicating a lot better than in the other books, which leads to less frustrating misunderstandings.

The CEO's Ex-Wife Gets Revenge

The CEO's Ex-Wife Gets Revenge

Flora's hospital room was a stark contrast to the chaos that had brought her there. The walls were painted a soft, unremarkable beige, designed to calm and soothe, but their sterility only served to highlight the cold, impersonal nature of the place. A single window allowed a sliver of daylight to cut through the room, casting long shadows that seemed to stretch and distort with every passing minute. The furniture was minimalistic, almost austere, with a small, functional nightstand beside Flora's bed, a single chair for visitors, and a counter with a sink in one corner. The bed itself, with its metal railings and crisp white sheets, was positioned in the center of the room, dominating the s

Marrying the Chairman in the Wheelchair

Marrying the Chairman in the Wheelchair

There were large doors to the left and right with some distance between them. There were only ten rooms on this floor and a nurses' station. Each room was for one patient. Edward carefully opened the fourth door from the left and led Hannah inside. Maxim's room looked different from a hospital room. There was a cream-colored velvet sofa, a coffee table, a television on the wall, a refrigerator, and a door separating the patient area. It was more like a comfortable bedroom, giving off a cozy vibe, designed so the patient wouldn't feel oppressed. Hannah even thought leaving the hospital immediately after treatment would stress out the patients when paying the bills.

Come Be With Me, The End Is Here

Come Be With Me, The End Is Here

“I will get you your food and bring it to your room. Do you understand?" "I understand, but why must I stay here? Is there no eating quarters in your abode?" "By eating quarters, do you mean a kitchen or dining area?" "Yes, dining area or table, isn't that where families eat?" Autumn sighs, thinking about how she can explain his situation to him. "Yes, there is a dining table, and yes, most families do eat at the table, but you're a visitor and a patient. So patients eat in their rooms until they are well."

The Alpha and Me

The Alpha and Me

Around her was a soft glow from the LED lights embedded in the ceiling, giving her a clear view of her surroundings. Sophisticated medical equipment was neatly arranged on a stainless-steel table. A touch-screen monitor displayed health data on one side of the room. The room looked sterile and hygienic, and the faint aroma of modern antiseptics lingered in the air, mixed with the soothing scent of a diffuser programmed for relaxation.

The Mafia Heir & The Secret Heiress [Mafia Games XIII]

The Mafia Heir & The Secret Heiress [Mafia Games XIII]

If his parents raised them here, and so on. I couldn't wait to get to know him and Sacha. ◇ The patient's room on the third floor was lit by one lamp and the faint rays of the sun passing through the windows. A faint scent of disinfectant greeted us on our way in, the soft hum of medical equipment merging with my pounding heart. In the fading light, Ilya's hunched figure on the king-sized bed didn't surprise me. He sat alone on the wrinkled blanket. Wires snaked from his frail body to a bunch of machines.

FRAMED FOR MURDER WHILE PREGNANT: NOW I'M THE MAFIA'S WIFE

FRAMED FOR MURDER WHILE PREGNANT: NOW I'M THE MAFIA'S WIFE

Padded walls impossible to damage or remove pieces from. The bed bolted to the floor, thin mattress with no springs or hard edges. The toilet stainless steel, no tank, automatic flush. The sink same design, no removable parts. Even the light fixture was recessed behind unbreakable plastic. They'd designed this room specifically so patients couldn't harm themselves. Which also meant I couldn't defend myself. My only advantage was that I was aware. Alert. Not actually crazy despite what they were trying to make everyone believe. I positioned myself where I could see both the door and the camera, back against the corner. If anyone came in, I'd at least have a few seconds warning.
