He returned to the suite feeling relief that the sub was no longer there, but neither was Stephon. Matt picked up his favorite guitar, sank into the plush cushions of the couch, and began playing. He was no Krispin Righteous, the lead singer of their band, but he'd trained in classical music and tended to revert when troubling thoughts filled his brain. The hard rock band-bunnies would think he'd grown a second head if they heard the soft romantic melody of Brahms, which was never meant for guitar, though his talented fingers somehow made it work.

He sits next to me, relaxing into the chair, chugging down his drink while I burp our son. “How the hell are you so damn good at that?” Matt grumbles, side eyeing me, as I handle Enzo with ease. “He’s had more than enough practice.” Atlas answers, sitting next to my mom. “You’ll understand soon, when you meet the other hellions.” “Do you have any siblings, Matt?” My mom, asks, taking Enzo from my arms, eager to snuggle him. “A twin sister, Melanie, but she’s mated and a Luna now.” Matt answers, growing antsy about the conversation.

Mate. Oh fuck.

Mj groaned thinking about the building Dante and Azreal, or rather Alpha Calix and Theron had torn apart and she felt a little pang of guilt for the fact that someone had to clean up after a mess she helped create. “If you need someone to show you I can take you there on the cart,” the blonde muscle head offered and Mj looked at him with a smile “thank you I would appreciate that very much...umm?” the man laughed “sorry, my name's Mathew but everyone calls me Matty,” he said and Mj giggled thinking he looked more like a Thor then a Matty. Lou cleared his throat a little “hurry up Mathew we got an entire pack to feed” and Mj shook her head as a look of panic crossed his face.

Matthew threatened, and I glared at him. “I will be back in the next twenty minutes. Be ready,” he gave an annoying smile before leaving. After he left, I groaned and massaged my forehead. My head was pounding with a great headache. I relaxed on the seat and closed my eyes. I wanted to ignore Matthew and his threats, but I knew he wasn’t joking, and he meant all he had just said. Left with no choice, I opened my eyes and forced myself up from the seat. I began taking off my clothes, and after that, I went into the bathroom.

Suddenly, Riley leaned over, her vibrant blue eyes sparkling with excitement. "Hey, Elaine," she whispered, nudging me with her elbow. "Can you come with me to this restaurant after school? I'm looking for a part-time job, and I could use some moral support." I turned to face her, grateful for the distraction. "Sure, that sounds cool," I replied with a smile. Riley's enthusiasm was infectious, and I was eager to spend more time with my new friend, especially after the intense morning. "Awesome! Thanks," she said, her voice filled with relief. "I heard they have great food, too. Maybe we can grab a bite while we're there."

My mum was in shock at the revelation. “Mum, if you must know, I’m 25 and I have yet to find my mate. I’ve reached my quarter-life crisis. If it doesn’t happen on Saturday, I plan on announcing Lottie as my mate and the next Luna of this pack.” Brady’s statement shocked us both. “But Brady, what happens to Lottie if you find your bond mate?” My mum asked him and a blaring horn from a vehicle outside waiting for me fills the air, but I stay glued to the spot hoping for a favourable response.

She can see it in his eyes. MATE.

“There is a fucking storm coming for you, Matilda Mae.” I giggle, my body lighting up like gasoline fed flame. I guess it’s a damn good thing I like the rain.

I asked, unzipping my coat, revealing the revealing dress. "I'll do anything." His gaze burned through me. He stepped closer, examining me, then picked up my dress, covering me. I froze, stunned. "You think I'd be distracted by your body?" he smirked. "Your figure isn't even among the top in the North American werewolf community."
