She attacked him and killed him right away before he could even respond, Xoxo happily tag along with Miles the whole day, they went to the company together and returned home together. "Miles, who is Mora's Mask, I would love to meet him, he is signed under you, when can I see him?” she asked anxiously. Miles smiled helplessly, “he doesn't come to the company, you can only see him at concerts” Xoxo pouted, “are you tricking me?” Miles couldn't understand how Fenghuaug was able to put up with Xoxo's tantrums, “oh-no” he retorted.

“Who is ‘M’, Maeve?” Real fear washes over me, not for me, but for Meadow and Tate. I press my lips together even tighter and refuse to answer. He turns the phone toward me, and I can see that there is a large ‘M’ on the screen. M for Meadow. T for Tate. They’re not fancy code names, but it was the best I could do on short notice. The phone stops ringing and a moment later there’s a ping. Xander watches me as he turns the phone back to look at it.

Chapter: 24 ****** The bikers had searched aimlessly for the girl for hours but couldn't find her. She hasn't gone with her phone and so Beach couldn't call her. Her phone was with him. He had made sure to pick it up from where she had dropped it while she ran right there at the door. He was tired of looking. It was late night and the moonlight was the only brightness on the dead roads. He put his bike to a stop and sat motionless on it with both hands digging into his pockets and eyes wandering both ways, filled with worry and self-loath.

He said. I rolled my eyes and slung my arm around his shoulders and he desperately tried to get away from me. "Just say what you have to say right now. And I smell good, btw. My sweat smells good." I told him as I pull him closer to me. "Ugh, fine. Oscar the Grouch." He said before handing me the folder. "These are the shipment coming in for tomorrow. We're expecting twenty million worth of cocaine. No more no less." I unwrapped my arm around his shoulder as I open the folder to review the details of the shipment. "It's from Sero? Well, we don't need to worry too much then."

“Miguel, it’s Xander.” “Alexander, what can I do for you?” The DA sounded surprised to hear from him. “I was thinking we should grab a drink, are you free right now?” Xander’s voice was suggestive and for a moment Miguel was silent. “There’s a pub on 59th street that serves craft beer.” Miguel suggested, knowing the spot was frequented mostly by tourists and college kids. “I’ll meet you there in thirty minutes.” Xander smirked to himself. “Sure.” Miguel affirmed and disconnected the call.

Some minutes later, my phone buzzes again. Location shared. Huh? He's actually… serious? I stare at it for a second longer than I should. I know this place. Two streets away, the outdoor gym plus playing ground. I grab my jacket and don’t even think twice. I won't know if it's a prank until I get there. The night air is sharp against my skin. A full moon hangs heavy overhead, casting the streets in silver and shadow. I take the long way. Past the bookstore, around the silent fountain, cutting through the back alley until the outdoor gym looms ahead—quiet, almost eerie at this hour.
