I reached out my hand as I drew closer, the glow getting brighter, pulsating fast as my finger brushed against it.
Nothing happened at first, but then something magical happened. The light disappeared only to explode around me, filling the darkness with golden flecks and forcing me to squint against the sudden brightness.
