Mia started her spell to put Rhea to sleep and in a few minutes, I noticed her breathing slow down gradually until it became steady and restful. “I’m going to start the second spell to initiate the connection between you and you will start seeing her memories at random. They won’t be organized by any specific order. You can end one memory and skip to the next by saying the Latin word ‘Deinde’ out loud, and when you decide that you had enough, you need to say the word ‘Exitus’ so I could stop the spell. I won’t be able to hear any other word you say so you have to remember them” she said methodically. I committed those two words to memory as I ordered her to begin the spell.

Raina’s eyes widened in fear and realization. “So they’d have to relive them again.” “As if they were happening right now.” Jacqueline nodded her head. “The memories have already happened, but your body, heart, and soul stores the emotional information. The spell makes the wearer be able to put both thoughts and memories into the victim’s mind and thoughts.”

**** ~ Flashback ~ Before heading to the library, Evelina and Rissa are on their way to the opposite end of the class to the library. Evelina walks and she stops from her path, she just remembers that there was something she forgot. Seeing Evelina's reaction stop, Rissa asks her. "Eve, what's wrong? Is there anything you left in the classroom?" "No, I forgot something. That actually, I wanted to return the book in the library," she replied.

At this rate, we’re going to need another bottle. “Does she remember everything now?” Reid asks, leaning back, his long blonde hair tied neatly in his usual braid. I suck at my teeth, shaking my head. “No. Some pieces are still missing. I just need to ask the right questions. If she had all her memories, she’d know who did this. Who the witch is. It’s someone close to her. The dreams are a signal—a way to track when it’s time to reinforce the spell. Memory spells are costly, especially long-term ones. Only a few witches have that strength, so it requires constant maintenance.”

“That’s what happened? How long have I been out?” “A few hours. It’s almost lunchtime.” Grimm helps me up. “How is that possible? I swear I was gone only a few minutes.” “Time moves differently,” Dagar says. “Eventually, with practice, you’ll be able to do this alone through meditation. But be warned—some memories are dangerous, especially the ones you chase most desperately. Memories are portals. Glimpsed lightly, they pass like fleeting visions. But when intention drives you—when you push, when you cling—that’s when the memory itself can consume you, seize you, and refuse to let go. Still, this is how you’ll master your spells. Once you learn one, you’ll always remember it.”

“I don’t think you broke the spell. I still can’t remember anything.” The Seer furrowed her brows. “I had never hidden a bond or sealed someone’s memories before you. As I said before, the spell I used is ancient and, from what it seems, very powerful. The seal I put on your memories is broken, and you will remember them. Little by little or all at once, I am not sure.” “I can’t believe you put a spell on Rhobart and me that you hadn’t used before. Do you know how delicate magic can be?”

“I’m concealed, but it was supposed to cover you as well. That’s the part that didn’t work.” “But …” Gabriela raises her eyebrows. “But what?” I ask, my voice barely a whisper. The tension in the room grows thick, and my palms start sweating. “But if you do the spell,” Mother looks at me sympathetically. “You’ll give up all your memories.”

Mark said pretty much excited and before I could say no, he was out of sight, "Hmm" I sighed softly,I miss her, I missed her so much. If wishes were horses, if only wishes were horses. I say, looking at him intently as if the intensity of my stare could draw the information from him. "I don't remember," he sighs, running a hand through his hair in exasperation. "Ever since stepping onto this territory, it's like there are parts of my life that are fuzzy or I have forgotten completely." "It has to be the spell," I mutter as I continue to pace, my mind racing as I try to think of a solution when it hits me in the face. "If being in the territory and near me affects your memory, maybe you and Charity need to step outside the borders and record everything he remembers."

“Let this be the final binding. Let memory itself hold, even if I forget. Let the circle outlast every shadow.” The spell rose. Words older than grief, gestures carved into her bones by fire and blood. Light poured from her heart—gold, silver, and blue, a cascade of unity and sacrifice. The chamber shook. The entity screamed as the cracks in the seal closed one by one, its shadow unraveling in shrieks of rage. Aria’s memories began to tear loose, slipping from her grasp like leaves in a storm. Faces blurred, names dimmed. Still, she held, clutching not the details but the promise behind them. Remember for me, she prayed. If I forget, remind me who I was.
