Ramsy boasted. Delta Ramsy mustered little heed to Higgins' pitiful state as the spat to the soon to-be corpse in his wake. Hunters were members of the resistance, who were mostly humans that had their only goal to be liberating their people and domineering the greater mass of carnivorous beast that desired to usurp any attempts they made to establish a system like theirs or breed enough to try. Higgins' life was dangling on a thin thread, his hands laid across the two ends of the baracade by chains anchored to his wrists and a weakened resolve from that death that just insisted on taking its time before truly drawing the life out of him.

“I wouldn’t miss for the world Rainn.” The trials continued with weapons and Rainn came out on top of every challenge thrown at him. The council was very surprised and happy to have a warrior such as him wanting to become a hunter. At the end of the trials, the four new hunters were finally announced, and Rainn was happy that he was one of them. The mentors came out and headed over to each of the four new members of the Vindicta. Ard'al, of course, was Rainn's mentor and he couldn't have been prouder of the man that Rainn had become, even if he was worried about the next part.

He was strict with Chris and Zand, especially when it came to their training, and he made sure they both sparred with Andy every say. It makes me see Hunter in a new light too, he held his own against a dragon and they were so evenly matched, there was never a clear winner. A lot of things are beginning to make more sense now. Hunter is Celestial Alpha blood, it’s hardly surprising he could take on an unshifted dragon and live to tell the tale. Every time Gabe, Christian, Zander, Gerald or I sparred with him he would wipe the floor with us within minutes.

I kept a slow pace, keeping all my senses open to anything and everything. I glanced at Jamie before holding my fist up, telling him to stop. I turned my head slightly, listening intently. Mariana explained with a heavy sigh. “A hunter bitch left a trap in the old mall the clan lives in? And you said this was over a month ago? She wouldn’t happen to have been an Egyptian bitch?” I asked, my sister, having my full attention. And given that Khalid was in my space, the call had his too. “Exactly. The intense urge to catch her was strong but he couldn't do that at the sacrifice of his men. "YOU MOTHERF*CKERS! GREET YOUR FATHER," Hunter snarled, charging at them. Both of his claws extended out as he slashed one of the men. Instead of tossing his body away, he ripped his insides out as blood spurts on his face but he was smiling. The looks on the faces of his enemies were magnificent. They looked terrified. Hunter's men shifted into their wolf form as they lunged at the enemies. Including Hunter, there were only four of them while the enemies were nine in number.
