They had found Silver, and now, they would finally get the answers they sought. The voices were like a cacophony in my mind, each one clamoring for attention. They jabbered on and yelled at one point before loud noises that pierced my brain were heard. It sounded like bursts of thunder.

A quiet voice called out, sounding like it was under water. A pinch of pain shot into Faith's arm before there was a burst in her ears and her body made her take a deep breath in. It felt as though a bubble exploded in Faith's mind, and then sound rushed back to her and she was able to hear a clock ticking and machine beeping. "Calm down Faith, you're all right." A foreign voice relaxed her.

Beep* Her enhanced hearing, once a gift, now cursed her. The relentless honking of vehicles drilled into her brain, each echo threatening her skull to split into two. Sirens howling in the distance, voices rising in panic, the sharp crackle of broken glass shifting around her. And worse, the low, maddening buzzing that seemed to come from inside her ears, like static crawling beneath her skin. She moaned. Then– *Bang. Bang. Bang* The sudden pounding on her window jolted her back to the surface.

Sera I'm deep in sleep when I hear it..the voices. They come low at first, muffled and distant like they're far away. But they're there, and they are disturbing my sleep. The buzzing in my head was back—relentless, piercing, wrong. It wasn't just noise anymore, either. At first it started like an untuned radio, that low, staticky hum that settled behind my eyes like a migraine. But then, slowly, it started to shift. Like someone was turning a dial and the signal was just beginning to come through.

They suffered horrible injuries. "Be careful, everyone. There's something strange about that mural," Chase warned everyone. That was when a strange ringing from a sword was heard. It was weird because usually, this ringing would have a metallic feel to it. Most of the time, a sword's ring would be a clear, lengthy sound, and not continuous like this. This particular sword's ringing seemed to be in a loop. It sounded like a piece of music being played. When Chase listened to it, it felt like a pair of mysterious eyes were staring at him. The third, the house is pretty noisy, like I’d had headphones on for the longest time, and now I’ve taken them off, and all the noise I was blocking out is assaulting my senses.
