I heard the screw in the speaker stand loosening. Creeeeak. It was screaming at me for ten minutes."

I arched my back like a cat, catching my breath when someone interrupted. 'Knock-Knock-Knock!'

Loud sounds of continuous gunshots echoed as well as curses, they came from all over the place. However as I tried to listen clearly, I found that I can’t. I’m there and yet I’m also not. I raise my aching head, and narrowed my eyes, only to not have an effect on the surroundings as it’s still not clear in my eyes. What is happening?

I spin, looking behind me as my skin crawls in warning, yet I smell nothing, see nothing. I close my eyes, focusing on dialing in my hearing. I listen to the leaves and pine needles as a breeze tickles through them, a creaking of a branch and nothing else.
