Nothing brings me more happiness than continuing to bring the stories in my mind to life, so that's what I'll continue to do to get through this moment. I closed the message. Went back to work.

“But the connection exists.” Mara folds her arms. “People love a dramatic story.” “This isn’t a story,” I say quietly. “It’s my life.” No one argues with that. I pick up my phone again. Another notification. This time it’s from Ethan. Ethan: I’m guessing you’ve seen the articles. I stare at the message for a second before replying. Yes. The typing bubble appears almost immediately. Stops. Appears again. Finally a new message arrives. Ethan:

Hey. The message sent. I ended the night without a response.

You’re mine and always will be. Press 1 to save the message Message saved.

The message preview contained only three words. We need to talk.

Growing tense, I click on the message and read it. Hello Dev, how has your day been? Well, mine has been good. Did you see the posts, we certainly look good together. By the way, I met your mother earlier this week! She's such an amazing person. She invited me to her birthday party. Would you be coming? I'd love for us to talk more. Have a good night!

His eyes were bristling with anger while he said this because he couldn’t tolerate Caroline’s rude behavior. “You have time to decide till tomorrow!
