Another full moon! Another painful transformation! Rehaan was standing in the jungle alone, waiting for his transformation process to start. As the moon shone brighter in the sky, Rehaan's whole body started to feel the pain. It was becoming unbearable for him. Slowly he transformed into a wolf and started howling. After some time he transformed back into his human form. Rehaan fell as he was too weak. He stood up with difficulty, walked a few steps, and then again fell. It felt like his body didn't have the energy to even get up. After much effort, finally he reached home.

But then the full moon broke fully over the horizon and everything inside her snapped. Pain tore through Amanda’s body, sudden and violent. She stumbled, clutching at her chest, gasping as fire raced through her veins. Her vision blurred, her skin burned, her bones ached like they were breaking, reshaping. A scream ripped from her throat... but it wasn’t a scream at all, it was a howl. Gasps echoed through the square as the crowd turned, eyes wide, mouths open. Amanda collapsed to the ground, writhing, her body twisting in ways it shouldn’t. And then, with a final shuddering cry, her human form shattered, replaced by silver fur that gleamed beneath the moonlight.

I knew deep down that this metamorphosis was essential, a necessary step toward embracing my true nature. A primal force surged through my veins, fueling the transformation. My skin erupted in a torrent of fur, coarse and thick, as though a wild beast was being unleashed from within. The fur spread across my body like wildfire, obscuring the pale complexion that once defined me. I watched in awe and horror as my reflection in the nearby puddle morphed into that of a creature of the night.

They were captivated. He read about the caterpillar eating through apples and pears and plums. "He is consuming excessive calories," Cale noted. "Preparation for metamorphosis." "He's hungry!" the girl said. "He is fueling the change," Cale corrected. "Change requires energy." He finished the book. The caterpillar became a butterfly. "He flew away," the boy said. "He evolved," Cale said. "He became something new." "Like a transformer?" "Similar principle. Biological rather than mechanical."

He then sees Ayame sitting in a corner and reading something while Mitsuru was talking to some other people in the classroom. He takes the empty seat at the furthest end of the classroom and just stares at his desk. He sees a weird insect like spirit. He tries to push it off the table but was not able to. While he was trying to flick the insect like thing from his table, the others looked at him with disgust. ‘What is this thing? A cicada?’ he says while flicking the insect off the table. After a few more flicks, the insect starts to turn blue in colour and when it completely turned blue, it exploded and a plant-like monster came out of it.

Alex murmurs from behind me as I rush unsteadily to the window, something pulsing, trying to rip out of my chest. Feeling like I can't breathe, I use my remaining strength to smash out of the window, and tumble into the garden below. I feel something snap as I land with a thud on the floor, momentarily stunning me, but I don't register the pain, too preoccupied with whatever is clawing around inside of me. There is a roar before a thud reverberates through the ground next to me. I'm then pulled into my mate's arms, his scent calming me slightly, before I let out a guttural scream, feeling my bones crack and stretch under my skin. I shake, screaming through the pain, feeling my body changing

Chapter 4: Yu Meng, who was currently laying on her bed and watching TV, while also eating, chocked on her food: “Cough-cough…fudge! Is she mentally-handicapped or something? And the storyline says that she managed to build a business empire by herself, you must be kidding me, with her IQ of a three-year-olds, how did she survive till now? Surely, the protagonist-halo managed to make me speechless once again.

I asked as he pulled out of me that last time. "Perhaps," he muses. "I only give you my gift. It is up to you to shape it." The people in the cars below look like insects as I stomp through them, creating my path to my final destination. I'm not in any rush, my transformation will take time, so there is plenty of time to play as I make my way south. When the tiny people look up can they see me? Although the master assures me that they cannot, I like imagining them piercing through the veil of magic to find me as I am now, wrapped only in power and a smile, dangling above them. I hear their screams as I lift an invisible foot above their heads, stomping down, laughing silently as I watch them

It's going to rise and Aiden's change along with it. The last ferry boat has left the island and has left Aiden and me alone on the island. I follow Aiden into the secluded cell we found for him and as the full moon reflects through the roof of the prison, his metamorphosis unravels before my eyes. He rips his shirt off and fur sprouts out everywhere and his blue eyes turn into an orange-yellow amber color.

Maybe the only way I can change our fate is to change myself. Metamorphosis is difficult, painful, and complex. Before true change can happen, there needs to be a spark, a catalyst, an event so overwhelming that the only way to survive is to evolve. Watching Arthur fall to the floor, and then waking to him not able to move, not able to respond, reaching the end of my emotional tether--this is my catalyst moment.
