The House of the Damned: Sin & Deceit (A Dark Romance)

The House of the Damned: Sin & Deceit (A Dark Romance)

I found him in a bookstore on Green Street, wedged between a tailor and a florist. The kind of place that smelled of aged paper and the particular dry intimacy of rooms that have held a lot of human thought for a long time. Shelves floor to ceiling, the spines of things pressing against each other in the comfortable disorder of a space that had stopped apologizing for itself. Everything slightly cramped. Everything exactly right.

Sociopath in Love

Sociopath in Love

She didn’t even notice when she got so cold. “I see you prefer to shop in large quantities,” Yuna looked at the stack of books with a malicious glance. “We don’t have Simmons in the store, but we have a couple of books in stock: “Prayers to the Broken Stone” and “The Fall of Hyperion.” — “Hyperion” is not particularly interesting to me, but I would buy a collection of his stories. - Okay, I’ll call tomorrow and order delivery - it’s too late today. They probably dumped everything. And I'm closing in about twenty minutes. If you don't have plans, then let's go home together.

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

There is no mate bond, but having him close makes me feel more secure. “I can’t wait for you to see this.” He rubs his thumb on the top of my hand as he leads me to a store. It’s rare Bronx gets so excited about surprising me. We approach a bookstore with a dusty, old window display. In gold paint, there is a picture of a pan flute and a goat. The images are peeling and sundried as if they’ve been there forever. Over the pictures are the words ‘The Barded Goat Used & Collectible Books’.

This story was “ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL”!! I love love loved it!! So well written & very descriptive!! The characters had such depth! My favourite characters were Bronx and Kas(Iokaste), of course!! They went through “SO” much, but made it through!!
Sarah Geer
Love this book and this author. She has found a way to write two books that seem like completely different stories but then happen to intertwine at an unexpected point. Ever chapter she posts leaves me wanting more. I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

I pointed out. “Well kind of. I think she has been hiding in plain sight. Austin said that when he was travelling through here that he felt an immense surge of magic when he was in Portland.” She told us. “Wait, there is that weird ass bookstore there. You know that one that looks like a fucking mausoleum. The owner is a woman, and it sells the weirdest books and other shit.” Peadar pointed out.

Queen's Conquest - Warrior Queen's Harem

Queen's Conquest - Warrior Queen's Harem

The incense smoke curled languidly through the air, twirling its way around gemstone towers and flickering candle flames. Zalindra sat behind the counter of her metaphysical shop, a quaint paradise of mystic oddities where crystals glimmered like stars trapped in glass jars, and the scent of sage and spices whispered tales of forgotten magic.

Succubus in your Dreams

Succubus in your Dreams

“No one is sending any one to hell. We are meeting in fifteen. Reach as soon as possible.” I hung up the call. I wished that I knew what this was about but as far as I was about demons they were never going to let you know something until you really were needed to know about it. Finally we reached the bookstore. It was named beautifully. Books and Blues. Well for people who did not know the irony would not understand it but it was a good business and Hannabelle was an astute businesswoman. And I did not know but I was sure that something was up with the coffee of this house which would only mean that she had magicked the place in such a subtle manner that people flocked here for the coffee a

Rejected And Claimed By Her Trio Mates

Rejected And Claimed By Her Trio Mates

“Hi! Hey, I’m looking for someone who might help me with a, uh, a metaphysical problem. Any idea where I could go?” Her red-tipped fingers are wrapped around a plastic cup of beer that I’m not entirely certain she’s old enough to be drinking. She wrinkles her thick black brows. “Um, I guess maybe try The Bruja’s Cauldron?” “What’s that?” “An occult shop. It’s, like, two blocks that way.” She waggles her fingers down the street, like I’m supposed to just magically know what the fuck she means. “Just look for the black cauldron dangling over the sidewalk. You can’t miss it.”

Shadows and First Blood

Shadows and First Blood

“But meaning’s cheap when grief does the scheduling.” Mr. O’Rourke laid his palms on the worn wood. “This place doesn’t just sell books, Silver. It remembers them. It remembers everyone who’s touched them. That memory gets… layered.” He gestured around the shop: the leaning towers of literature, the cracked ceiling, the stubborn bell. “We guide it. Keep the binding tight.” “Guide it,” I repeated, flat. “Like… magic.” Mrs. Finch’s eyes softened at the word. “Like magic,” she said. “Or prayer with better results.”

A BILLIONAIRE'S CONTRACTED BETRAYAL

A BILLIONAIRE'S CONTRACTED BETRAYAL

We found 'Whispers of Time,' a quaint bookstore tucked away in a corner, its shelves filled with weathered tomes and ancient manuscripts. I approached the counter, my heart pounding with anticipation. An elderly woman with kind eyes and a gentle smile greeted us. "Welcome, dear travelers. How may I assist you today?" I showed her the letter and mentioned Evelyn's name. Her eyes widened, a flicker of recognition crossing her face. "Ah, Evelyn... a wise and enigmatic soul. Follow me."

PROTECTED BY THE WEREWOLF

PROTECTED BY THE WEREWOLF

Every surface was littered with books, candles, crystal, tarot decks, and statues of Egyptian gods. The woman behind the counter—a lady with a stooped back and a braid of thick black hair over her shoulder—waved at me and went back to her work. There was only one other customer in the store—a handsome man my age with red hair and broad shoulders. He was urgently scratching his neck as he argued with the shopkeeper over a number of tiny white pills strewn across the counter. As I walked through the store, picking up the books and leafing through them, I overheard their conversation. “… I need ten of these pills. Not tomorrow. Not next week.
