I shrugged. “Had to make sure I wasn’t followed.” Michael smirked, tossing his cigarette to the ground and crushing it under his boot. “Good. Afterwards I decide to go back upstairs and rest for the remainder of the evening. Night falls, and with it a thunderstorm stirs up.
