I held his gaze. Unshaken. Then, slowly, I smiled—not warmly, but with quiet confidence.
“Then do it,” I said calmly. “I’d be happy to leave.”
His expression flickered, caught off guard.
I tilted my head slightly.
“Just don’t forget what’s written in the contract,” I added. “No matter what happens, there’s no refund.”
Silence.
For a brief second, the confidence on his face cracked.
