Michelle Zauner Dad Novels & Stories

It was as if he'd gone back to being the celibate man he'd been before the surgery. He cared for the kids, though. He took care of Evelyn and picked Landon and Gabriella up from kindergarten with the driver. Then, they would have a meal outside. The media would occasionally take photos of him, and he would make the trending topics each time. "Nebula Group's former CEO—now a stay-at-home dad!" "Julian Ziegler's pants are 699 dollars each." "Julian Ziegler spotted at the gym—clearly afraid of losing his spot in his wife's heart and no longer being able to live off her…"

Miles put his hands behind his back, his eyes falling on a corner of the building: "Sometimes I also wondered if maybe there really was some kind of misunderstanding." Geovanni didn't say anything. Zechariah paused. "Let me think about it again." Miles looked over at the photo to one side. That was his wife, she wasn't supposed to pass away so early. Also, his two sons used to spoil their little sister like she was a princess. Who would've thought that later, the daughter let Zane, that bastard, mess up the Molson family's market like that. Hamza rushed over from New York to stop it, so his two sons didn't end up in trouble.

She was about to stand, but her mother pressed her hand on her thigh, forcing her to remain in her position. “I know you, Zora. What is the problem? Is it Ezrah? I hope you are not going to leave again.” After reuniting after almost three years, she could not bear to be away from her daughter again. “My life is in Los Angeles, but even there, Rush would trouble me. I would find somewhere else,” Michelle revealed. Her mother was unamused. “Michelle, the Ezrah you told us about seemed different from the one we saw after you left, especially when he came to claim your fake corpse. His actions showed that he loved you, but I don’t know why he never told you.”

He had been closed up since Ida’s issue and now dad had died. “ Not really, but he left for work this morning,” “ He’s going to come around, and I think Ida you should keep being there for him and keeping him company, for all you know he may forget about what happened between you two,” Zeke suggested. “ But Michelle and him were hitting it off pretty good until this tragedy.” she added. “ For now he needs Ida not Michelle so be Ida,” ~ “ Hi Ayanda,” Giada called out as she spotted her in the crowd.

"I heard Dad talking to Mr. Lancaster after you ran off. He was furious! Said you embarrassed him and ruined an important business deal." Michelle's stomach churned, but she forced a neutral expression. "Is that so?" "Yes!" Millie grinned as if relishing Michelle’s misery. "You should’ve seen his face. He said if you don't apologize and accept the marriage, he’ll—" Millie paused, then smirked. "Well, I’m not supposed to say." Michelle clenched her fists. She already knew what her father was capable of. He didn’t need to say it outright—his control over her had always been unspoken but absolute.

It’s where her adoptive father lived. Z never hesitated to tell her all the miseries she had to endure, all the while filtering some information so that it would look like a coincidence. Michelle was a good audience. She laughed and booed at the right moment, cursing those who treated her like a vermin. When they touched the story where George died, Michelle hugged her tightly, caressing her back. Z couldn’t help but shed tears. And she’s not faking it. It felt so nice to have someone comfort her when the moment was not at all desirable. She had no one to confide with back then. She kept everything to herself.

I instinctively shifted to the side to hide the damp patch on my blouse before looking up at him. "What do you mean?" I asked. My eyes flicked past him toward the trampolines. The sight of Julian and Lydia playing there gave me the courage to speak up. The man chuckled. "I'm Finneas Zurick, Zachary's dad. We met at the kindergarten parent meeting," he began. "I've been thinking about you ever since then. I've been wondering when we'd finally get a chance to talk." His words grew more improper by the second. A faint blush spread across my cheeks as I studied him.

Elena buried her face in her palm for a few seconds before she wiped off her tears and then turned around. “What do we do, Elena?” Ariana had asked her. “I’m getting Zeke.” “What?” Her father and Ariana chorused. “No objections! My daughter needs a donor and I am getting her father!” She snapped and then walked away. #END OF FLASHBACK.” “C… cancer,” Zeke choked on nothing that Ryan rushed to him and hit his back gently. “What is wrong with you?” Cancer took his father. Zeke would never forget that. His father gave up the ghost after fighting cancer for over three years.

“Like… you flinch sometimes when Dad speaks to you. You always did, a little, but lately it’s different. It’s like you’re… on edge.” He gripped his mug tighter. His pulse was too loud in his ears. “I didn’t notice,” he muttered. “You didn’t notice,” she repeated, leaning in a bit. “Eli, I know you. You’re not a great liar.” That hurt, because it was true. She reached across the table, laying her hand over his. “Is he giving you a hard time? I know Dad can be… intense. He means well, but sometimes he pushes people without realizing it.”

“Dear Mike, you don’t know me. But I am your Dad. I missed you a lot. I didn’t contact you these years because I wanted to become the most powerful person in the country.
