ACE I surveyed Miranda from the corner of my eye as I drove to her apartment. She was nervous and she could deny it all she wanted but I saw it in the way her pulse hammered against her skin at the crook of her neck, in the way minuscule beads of sweat clung to her temple, and in the way she kept fidgeting or biting at her lower lip that now sported red cracks because she wouldn't stop chewing at it.

Ace's thoughts invaded his mind in the middle of the class, he looked out of the windows, he's always looking out of the window. Mr Garret got tired of scolding him to pay attention to the lessons, he would always ask him suddenly but Ace already knows what they are talking about, he's smarter than most of the students in his class. Ace always does that in winter, staring out the window and wait for spring, he hates winter and hates the end of the year.

I felt defeated. Two men appear around the corner. One probably about 5'7", bright green eyes, dirty shaggy blonde hair and looked like he hadn't showered the same amount of time I've been trapped in this shit box. Life was good. Will had spent almost the entire summer building a life for himself here in this small town. Now that the leaves were falling though, he had started worrying.
