I craved the only comfort I knew would mend me. Teddy knew, too. He wrapped me in his arms. His kisses, though gentle at first, quickly turned desperate. I let my hands wander down to his shorts, seeking the connection I craved more than anything. He growled, grabbing my hand before I could touch him. "Three more weeks, Loupy. Just three more weeks." I pulled away as I sat up. "I'm already eighteen. We are just waiting on the moon, and we aren't virgins. Our wolves know it. Mine may kill me in the next three weeks."

DAWN I am looking into the spirit well in the Moon goddess garden, and feel Midnight sit next to me. “The heat is over. They are sleeping now.” Midnight says. “That’s good.” “She didn’t get pregnant.” She says calmly. “That might be for the best right now, I think trouble is coming,” I tell her. “OH?” She asks. “Some daughter of an Alpha are going to visit, they were good friends as kids until she tried to get our mates,” I tell her, and Midnight growls.
