I lean back into my chair, tipping my head against the backrest, exhaling sharply through my nose.
I can still feel him. The way his lips molded against mine, the way they softened, parted, just for me. As if they were made for me, made for this. Made for me to tilt his head back and devour, suck, claim, like I need it to breathe. To live.
And he let me. Let me.
He didn’t push me away. Didn’t stop me.
For that, I should be willing to overlook the fact that I have to read to him like a goddamn child. That we were trapped in that faulty elevator for hours, stuck between floors, in a space thick with the tension he keeps pretending doesn’t exist.
