He is such an impatient wolf. “I heard what you were thinking human” I quickly shift, and Onyx walks up to Tamaska in all his midnight black glory. Onyx is taller than Tamaska, but only by a little. They are a perfect match. Onyx looks like the night sky and Tamaska looks like the moon itself shining in the night sky.

I turned to see that a large, golden orb had begun to ascend from behind the treeline. The moon had begun to rise in its full glory, a perfect yellow disc hanging in the inky black sky. All around us, wolves began to respond to its call. My wolf, who had been waking slowly as the effects of the contraceptive had begun to wear off, suddenly began to stir. “Mate,” Onyx whispered. “Our mate is right here.” Panic gripped me. I tried to shove her down, but it was no use. The contraceptive was wearing off, and without the second dose I’d promised the doctor and Damon I wouldn’t take, Onyx was awakening with a vengeance now that the moon was rising.

Cain sighs. “I don’t feel like fighting today.” Cain says. Onyx stares at him fiercely. “Because you’re scared of losing?” He asks mockingly. Cain raises an eyebrow and chuckles. “Are you kidding? I beat you in the past. You’re lucky, you didn’t perish because you’re current lord helped you. Ripping your soul is an easy job, Onyx.” Cain states. Onyx loses his patience and dashes towards Cain with his wings. Suddenly, a lightning arrow passes in an incredible speed. Onyx manages to stop in time before the arrow hits him. The arrow hits the ground and creates a thunderbolt in a large scale. Onyx teleports back to the building. Cain still in his place and he evades it calmly.

"Go get stuffed, you horny old bastard! I have a fated mate. I can feel him! Unless we reject each other, you will never be able to bond with us, no matter what you do!" Onyx carefully analyzed her chest and snickered bitterly as he saw the mate mark of a crescent moon glowing on her fair skin, "This is rather an unheard of development and here I was hoping you to be fair game for at least a year...how disappointing." He then released her and his eyes transformed back to his gray eyes.
