Chris spun around as if he were looking for something or someone. “You can come out now,” he shouted, “I’m sure you all got a great fucking laugh from trying to fool the famously gullible Christopher Red.” James blew out a heavy breath before the sound of snapping and rearranging bones echoed through the dense forest. Where a man once stood was replaced by the magnificent beast that is Onyx. His deep, almost black fur shined under the rays of sunlight, showing off their lighter brown tips.

“I can’t, Stormy. If Varek thinks the police are coming, he could kill Kael before running away. It’s too risky.” Stormy let out a long sigh and shook her head. I could see anger on her face and in the tight way she held her jaw. I knew she wanted to argue. “If you can’t call the police, then who is going to bring Kael back?” “We are,” I said before dropping into a chair. “Somehow.” Stormy sat down beside me. “What’s the plan?” I rolled my eyes. “Orion came up with a really dangerous plan that could get him killed. None of us liked it.”

This is the second in the insanity Series dealing with the Watson's and the two characters of Max and Deanna. The third will be released in November of 2020. The name of it is Breaking the eye wall. It continues shortly after where Weathering the storm leaves off. A tie in series will be released in December called "The nightmare begins." This story though fictionalized did happen in the US in late 2019. The charaters will be along or the journey in Breaking the eye wall but they will have their own series called "Nightmare". This is the first book in that series.

And now, it was mine to unravel. I dropped a bit of dried foxglove into the bowl. The liquid turned purple for a moment, pulsed, then cleared. A notification buzzed on my phone. Anonymous: ‘Phase one successful. Target destabilized.’ I allowed myself a satisfied smirk as I typed my response: “Proceed to phase two. Attack Storm territory next. Keep casualties minimal. We don’t want attention yet so fewer casualties to throw the suspicion off us.” I set the phone down beside the obsidian runes and turned back to the vision.

The men responded reluctantly, "Understood." "If you understand, then hurry and clean this up! Drain the pond too!" Soon they called people to clean the bloody water from the pond. Remi didn't move the entire time. Just as the pond was almost drained, he suddenly remembered something. "Did you see a christening medal?" "A medal?" The man shook his head. "No, but we found a silver bracelet. Take a look, sir. Is this yours?"

And below that, in Hayden's own handwriting rather than the operational log's standard notation, a single additional line: the overflow was released. Uncontrolled. Monitor for atmospheric effect. "The overflow was released," I say quietly. "That is the Blood Storm," Arden says. "Yes." I look at the document. "He knew. He documented the release. He called it atmospheric effect and he monitored for it and then when the Blood Storm passed he closed the file and moved on." We sit with that for a moment.

With a teasing smirk, Daisy stated, "Let's go then, pretty lady." Sitting on a round table, five of them ordered their lunch. Then, Nicolas first spoke, looking at Daisy, "Tonight we have an important live stream. So, everyone wants Minerva. You have to play today."

It sounded urgent and breathless like the owner of the voice was running. “Luna.” The voice called a third time, right as he barreled into me, strong arms wrapping around my waist. “Please, stop.” I tried to struggle out of Lucas’ grasp, but he held on tight. “Stop.” Panting, I raised my voice. “Let go.” “No.” He said. “Never.” I drew in a deep breath, my nostrils burning as some of the rain pouring down my face got in my nose. “As the Luna, I order you to let me go immediately.”
