Millennial Dragon Novels & Stories

“But she is a hybrid and you are a pure dragon. Are you lying to me, dragon?” “She can’t lie to you. Geez, do neither of you know anything about dragons?” Nylion asks. “Kenna is arguable the third strongest dragon currently alive, second only to Ancalagon and Eliane, and both of them have access to all four elements,” Kenzo says, coming to my defense. I’m surprised that Faeler doesn’t tell him to shut up, but apparently both men are interested in taking out Kenna and therefore, Yhendorn. I’ve known Yhendorn my entire life. He’s a good man, a good king from what I’ve been able to tell, and he’s been a perfect mate to Kenna. I’m not surprised that she’s pregnant.

His pupils grew round and full, like a bird of prey watching a mouse. What was Spencer? What had I gotten myself into? I should have just stayed home and confronted Nolan and my sister. If I had it would suck, but I wouldn’t be about to be possibly murdered by someone who might not be human. A rumbling growl came from deep in Spencer’s chest and he leaned back slightly on his barstool. Watching me with those eerie looking eyes. “I’m a dragon.” The words were raspy and didn’t sound human. It was almost a growl, but not quiet, something animalistic. A warning.

If I could go back to a few days ago when I received Cyran’s email, I would have packed my bags and left. “It might not be possible for humans, but Dragons have abilities that humans couldn’t dream of. Some of us can read minds, while others have different abilities. It isn’t like I always invade someone’s privacy, but I thought now was the exception.” Kellan moved off the couch he was on and came to sit between Jade and me.

Tordin whispered, the man who had been silent in the group. Zarek would murder everyone if anything were to happen to his mate. Dragons were extremely protective of their mates, killing to protect them if needed. Being the largest dragon in existence, there was no telling what would happen should his mate die. “Let us research as much as we can. Find any records, should they exist, of this working.” Samelle shut the book, drawing in ragged breaths. Fear raced icily through his veins. He would not fail Zarek again.

She was touching Megan’s face and then hugging her again as they both cried. “What happens now?” Rylee asked. “We’ve completed the bond and it’s been accepted.” “And something else,” Elder Michael said with a smile. “What?” Lucas asked impatiently. “Megan has a dragon,” I said and Rylee gasped as Lucas turned towards me. “A dragon? That’s never happened before,” he said. “Quite right Sire Lucas, Kaida is the first of her kind that we know of, she’s a strong dragoness, graceful and beautiful,” Elder Cliff said.

I spent hours studying the text. I learned about Alice's Dragon, referred to in ancient languages as the 'Rare Healer of Fire.' This unique dragon was gifted with ancient magic. If the Rare Healer of Fire mated with another dragon, they would be reborn as humans but retain the ability to use dragon magic without their dragon forms.

But the girl was adamant. “It’s true, sir,” she said, still struggling against my grip. “Queen Mila is the last dragon. Our lady. Our fearsome queen.” “A queen of what?” I scoffed. “I saw no other dragons in there, just different animals. Cats, birds, lizards…”

She glanced at me, her eyes pleading like I could somehow sway Daran’s decision. Daran didn’t reply immediately. His sharp gaze shifted to Miller, suspicion evident. “Why are shadow hunters involved in dragon affairs, anyway?” Miller held his ground, meeting Daran’s glare. “I have a pact with the Mountain Dragon. He trusted me to help maintain balance between the dragons and the other races, even before Aland was found.” I interrupted, my curiosity piqued. “With the Mountain Dragon?” Miller nodded. “And now, I’m asking for your help, Daran Carver. Will you help us bring the dragonlings back to their homeland?”

“Kill his dragon. His dragon is one powerful enough and has the potential to destroy the whole of Chicago, potentially the world to find you. I prefer you kill him than obligating his own people to take out their prince and my son from this plane.” He shrugs. After that intense, hard conversation with the dragon Lord. He solemnly explained that Brandon’s dragon has been forced to hibernate, since he arrived from the mission. While his beast slumbers there was a higher chance he will go back to being Brandon but no dragon can survive without his beast. Needing time to process this mess of uncertainty, confusion regarding forever- lines- sexuality. **
