LOST AND FOUND
The sheer power of it cracked stone.
Mira raised her staff, hurling a bolt of shadow. It struck the armor—and fizzled out, absorbed into the runes.
“Not good,” she muttered, backing away.
Kaelen pressed forward again, muscles screaming. He drove his blade at the knight’s chest, but it was parried with casual ease. The greatblade slammed into his guard, flinging him sideways.
He crashed against the wall, vision swimming. Blood filled his mouth.
Aric lunged, claws striking sparks on the armor, teeth snapping for the throat. The knight caught him mid-air with a single backhand, sending him tumbling across the cavern floor. He landed hard, unmoving for a breath.
