The surface has a dark luminescence that changes colors depending on the angle it is perceived–Sometimes blue, sometimes green, other times white or black, edged with a deep crimson red that holds it together like a net.

Miranda leaped from her seat, a soft, choked cry escaping her throat, her trembling fingers pointing at his feet. Hussein looked down at his shoes, his eyes widening in shock and horror as the worms swarmed mercilessly.
