She waved down many cabs, but no one was stopping for her. The chilly morning wind did not even have any mercy on her, as it blew particles of sand into her eyes. Eventually, she got a cab and headed back home to freshen up. Matilda prayed silently for a miracle as she walked towards Jaden's office. There was no use running, she was hours late already.

I almost lost balance.

Her skirt flew up from the fall. Something dark flickered in him. As he hovered, about to cross an even filthier line, Sabrina suddenly caught a glimpse of Owen in his face. Terror flooded her, and she fought back with everything she had. Her resistance only thrilled him more. Desperate, she snatched up the nearest object, ready to smash it across his head. That was when Mom appeared. How could she ever allow anyone to lay a hand on her precious Alex? Just as I had in my past life, Sabrina took a savage blow to the head.

Sabrina’s Pov I had stood outside in the freezing night, shifting my gaze from one passing vehicle to another. I know who I saw, I know it was Rodrigo. “Excuse me, miss?” I turned to look at the clueless nurse. “Miss Sabrina,” I refused to shift my focus from the road. “I was asked to get your signatures on this paper.” I signed it quickly. My heart ached so badly I was hallucinating, but if it was Rodrigo, then this is just the beginning. Tina laid in bed, she looked so calm but I could still see she was in pain.

Begged the toddler with her puppy dog eyes, hoping that Sabrina would budge. “I already said no, Maddy.” Sabrina said with a sigh, getting tired of all this even though she has only been stuck with the cute toddler for barely an hour. “Bu- but Shawn yant say no to the puppy dog eyes.” Said Maddy with her eyebrows furrowed, confused to why was she not falling for this. “That's because I'm not Shawn,” Said Sabrina, looking directly at the little girl's eyes with an intense stare. “Now leave me alone.” She added coldly, getting her attention off her completely.

The next morning, I found myself seated beside Lucian at the breakfast table, dressed and freshly awake, the soft aroma of herbs and roasted spices curling into the air. Something about last night still tugged at me. “Who’s Sabrina?” I asked, glancing at him between bites. Lucian cut a piece of egg and replied without pause. “The pack healer. She helped tend your wounds, got rid of your face scar and revived you.” “Last night, she helped me again,” I murmured mostly to myself. “Did you say something?” “No. I just… haven’t seen her around.” “She’s rarely out. Always buried in her work – potions, scrolls, meditations. Kind of a recluse.”

Selena looked at her mother in confusion, as if she had been caught stealing. Sabrina then took out a wet tissue and wiped Selena's hands with it. Like a child who had just played dirty and her mother came to clean it up. Selena ate her chocolate biscuit after making sure her hands were clean. Axel smiled and he picked up the water bottle, he drank it greedily, apparently thirsty due to the hot weather. "What did you catch there? Do you want to take it home?" asked Sabrina. "Yes, I want to bring it as a souvenir. I got a lot of insects here. I brought horned beetles, crickets, praying mantises, wood locusts, and some ladybugs," Selena replied enthusiastically.

Sabrina nodded. “Let’s go!” Sabrina let out and walked out the dungeon. Lucia and Cyn followed while smiling. “Now, let’s help the western land.” Cyn said. Few minutes later, they arrived in front of the ruined high walls and saw the chaos caused by the gigantic monsters, goblins, and demons. Without a second thought, they attacked the monsters and their attacks surprised all the wounded warriors, wondering who they were. Sabrina held the staff and pointed to the monsters and goblins. “Devour!” she chanted and all the monsters got absorbed by the power of the staff. Every monster that attacked Sabrina vanished like dust.
