Tears' Curse
Miracle rattled the slips, checking if there were any secret papers hidden in between.
But there was none.
The second half of the story was gone.
"C'mon... Don't do this to me. I have to know the story."
Miracle pressed her fingers to her lips, murmuring lines of undefinable words that echoed softly in the dimly lit room. As she chanted, a gentle swirl of white light unfurled from her fingertips, enveloping her hand in a shimmering embrace. Silvery tendrils of smoke swirled into the room, weaving in response to her invocation. They laid atop her mark of divinity on her chest, and seconds later, the bulging veins around her reddening mark began to ease.
