Mira broke off from Azriel and cut him across his veil, revealing his face and drawing blood. "Help me fallen!" Mira shouted. Lucifer stopped for a moment. He was trying to decide whether or not this was a ruse, until Azriel stepped in, and severed Mira's hand. 'If you betray this kindness you will pay.' Lucifer shot flames from one hand, and shortly followed the plumes with explosive orbs, creating a large smokescreen of explosions. "C'mon Mira!" Lucifer yelled into the smoke. Mira flew through the smoke and recieved a large gash against her back from a blade of wind that followed her. She kept flying until she was past Lucifer.

After cleaning the broken tray, Mira excused herself earlier than normal. And the moment she stepped outside the chamber doors— She stopped breathing steadily. Her hands trembled violently. No. She knew what she saw. Twice. Not imagination. Not exhaustion. Something inside that mirror had looked back at her. And smiled. --- That night— Mira avoided mirrors completely. But sleep never came. Because every time she closed her eyes— She saw Elian’s reflection whispering silently through the glass. And somehow— Deep down— She felt certain of one terrifying thing.

“You won’t believe it. I was cleaning the room like you asked, just keeping things tidy around Eugene, and then… he opened his eyes. Just for a second. He looked right at me. And then, just like that, he was gone again.” Becca froze mid-step. Her heart skipped, then pounded with sudden force. “He opened his eyes?” she asked, incredulous. “Are you sure, Mira? You’re absolutely sure?” Mira nodded, her hair tumbling loose from its braid as she shook her head quickly. “I swear it, Becca. I didn’t imagine it. He looked… confused, like he didn’t know where he was. But there was life in his eyes. Just for a moment.”

Chapter Forty-Three: Super Teacher Miracle's POV A month. I have been married to Hawkins Pride for a month and I have yet to find out his weakness. Time is ticking, and I know the longer I wait, the longer my mother will suffer in the hands of the Verity family.

“Miracle is the name you were denied by people who made mistakes and others who never had good intentions. If you let your soul be consumed by hate, then you will stay right where you are, and nobody can do a thing about it.” Miracle looked back at my mom to shout, “That’s right, you were the reason my life was worth only being bullied! You weren’t a Luna you were a bully! And you showed Marcela the same ways that led to built in me the hate I’m now showing!” My mom looked at me, confused, which I clarified before Miracle's anger took over. “I chose Alpha Stan as my mate. And it wasn’t till we swapped souls with the moon goddess that we found out who was our fated mates. I said I was sorry.

Sun heightened her powers. “Why Viv? Why did you do this? Why did you reject him? Moon wanted me. I wanted Moon. Alaric wanted you. But you ruined everything.” Miracles growled. I saw this coming. She sat beside the lake looking at her reflection in the water. She was so magnificent. Her blue eyes screamed perfection. “I am sorry. But I had to do it.” I said. I had nothing to say. I had no explanation. Maybe I did, but I wasn’t ready to drag Miracle into it.

My voice trailed off. How do I confess the truth in a way that she would understand? She was too young to go through something as painful as this. “Mommy, you said you’re not going to leave me again. If you leave, what will happen to our team? We are partners, remember?” Mira asked when I failed to come up with the right words. She extended her tiny hand. “I have magic. Take my hand, Mommy. I will take you away from here. And they’ll never find us. I’m strong. I will keep you safe.”

Ally screamed, while Kelly trembled in terror—she knew the truth behind Wendy’s transformation. But then, Wendy suddenly stopped. Her eyes fluttered shut, and when they reopened, tears streamed down her face. Her grip on Kelly’s neck loosened. She stared at her own hands in disbelief before breaking down completely. “K-Kelly…” Kelly turned to face her, tears in her own eyes. “Wen!” She rushed forward, ready to embrace her friend, but Wendy staggered back, shaking her head. “N-no! Stay away! Leave, both of you! Before I lose control again!”

CHAPTER FOURTY-NINE MIRA My heart pounding, tears of relief streamed down my face as I held my daughter tight. Her face was pale and weary, she seemed peaceful in her sleep. Her lashes ceasted delicate shadows on her cheeks. But I couldn't shake of what just happened. The trauma of earlier hours, when I found out she was unconscious, her body was so cold as if her life had momentarily slipped away. This wasn’t the first time this had happened. These strange spells had been coming on for weeks now, each one lasting a little longer than the last, and each one leaving me in despair. Ophelia ducked the second, slamming her palm against its head and activating her memory disruptor. Tobias scrambled for cover, launching a neuro-blast that flickered through the air like lightning. But Mira didn’t move. She just watched. And smiled. “You’re not ready for what’s coming,” she said. “None of you are.” Then her body turned to light—and vanished. The remaining mirror copies fell to the ground like broken puppets.
