Miranda Cooper Novels & Stories

I demanded an answer. “Your mom has been gone for fifteen years! How did she tell you? In a dream?” Rebecca’s eyes filled with tears. She raised the mirror in her hand and said with a quiver, “The mirror told me! “This is the evidence. Listen. My mom used this to identify you as the killer.” I stared at the mirror in her hand. It was the mirror from the coffee table at the crime scene. The same mirror had been there at the dismemberment case fifteen years ago.

“Entirely. You’ll show up, you’ll smile, you’ll answer questions, and you’ll behave exactly as I would. Consider it a rehearsal in dignity, Mrs. Cole. You still have eight days.” Miranda exhaled slowly. “Fine,” she said, voice clipped. “I’ll go. But I won’t enjoy it.” “You don’t need to,” he replied, voice flat. “Just perform. That’s all I require.” She hung up and spent the next hour preparing. Every hair, every line of her dress, every polished heel calculated to perfection. By the time she left, she looked like Adrian Cole’s wife indeed, not the woman he had ignored, not the woman who had finally grown indifferent, but the public version of her he insisted the world see.

I put it on quickly and walked over to my vanity mirror. I opened the bottom drawer and pulled out a hidden photograph. It was a picture of Vivian, Julian’s former wife. I held the picture up right next to my face in the mirror. My stomach twisted violently. The resemblance was too striking. The shape of our eyes, the curve of our jawlines. I had tried so hard to change my style, to act differently, to mold myself into someone totally new. But staring at the photo now, I worried deeply that I might not have changed much at all. What if Julian’s mother saw right through the disguise? What if she recognized the truth instantly?

Mira agreed, her head tilted she watched the scene before us. We continue to watch them Quinn was giggling at something Elijah said, she looked so cozy and comfortable, that was her dream, and it was playing out. "Can I have my husband back now!?" I call out, catching the attention of the pair. Mira and I snickered as she took a seat next to me. We turn our attention from the couple and striked up a conversation about her trip. She was in New Jersey, at a meeting for Clair Industries, Mira also made millions before turning seventeen, and with my help as always, she was on her way to billions now, along with Josh.

Miranda rolled her eyes with a smug grin splitting her pink-stained lips, "You're so adorable when you're all worked up. Gunnar is a blessed man and I hope he knows it. But what did the asshole do wrong now?" "Only you would call a man like him an asshole," Tory cut her sister a glare. "I think she takes advantage because she's married to a psychopath," I deduced but, to be honest, Miranda was a fierce woman. She proved it the day I walked in and found a dead body at her feet because she had saved herself when she was kidnapped, not waiting for someone to rescue her like some damsel in distress.

she said, shaking out her mane of white hair, stray twigs, and leaves falling to the road. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Miranda, and I am the Beta of this here pack. Also, you're under arrest." "Under who's authority!? Pelham sputtered. "Why the Luna of the Opal Hill," Miranda raised her arms and twirled around, the poncho she was wearing flapping in the breeze. "Why the master of the very hills you're currently standing on." "Oh," I offered intelligently. "'Oh,' indeed," Miranda winked.

“Oh, I KNOW Miranda wanted to destroy me, but she’s always been very focused on money at the expense of everything else. I think that’s why she’s doing this, why she’s effectively trying to screw the American public out of what I want to do for them – because she wants to make billions of dollars, no matter what the cost is in human lives.” “Okay, well, let’s talk about these photos – who is this mystery woman? The reports say her name is Lily Ross – ” Connor’s face set almost imperceptibly. “That’s correct, but I’d really appreciate it if you leave Lily alone. You can come after me as much as you want, but she’s an innocent victim in Miranda’s and my parents’ plot to try to destroy my plans

“I suppose. But i still love him what am I supposed to do,” “Find someone better, someone that's going to treat you right and would never cheat,” I tell her and she rolls her eyes. “Not with the men these days,” She mutters. “My friend Sierra just married the love of her life and he's a great guy,” “She's lucky,” She says, taking the remaining liquid in her glass and downs it. She motions to the waiter for another one. “So where are you from?” “Chicago, you?” “Isla Martago, “

“I called Doctor Griffin for Audrey -” Miranda's unwavering demeanor and the air of authority she exudes do not go unnoticed by Richard. He has long admired her confidence and beauty, finding himself drawn to the strength and charisma she possesses. Despite harboring a secret crush on Miranda, he has never dared to confess his feelings, bound by the unspoken rules of family loyalty and the knowledge of their shared bloodline – she is, after all, an Ashford by blood, his cousin by familial ties.

Elara whispered, “Julian had people.” Halden’s jaw flexed. “Or someone picked up his playbook.” The unit’s speaker crackled. “Mara Kells is a valuable component.” Mara flinched violently, hands curling despite the zip ties. “See?” she sobbed. “See—” Elara grabbed Mara’s face gently, forcing eye contact. “Mara. Listen to me. That patch—if I remove it—will it hurt you?” Mara swallowed, eyes glossy. “I don’t know. But please. I can’t—”
