As she flipped code, they snapped up behind her and reverted it. They also attempted to lock her into specific logic circuits to tie her up, but she simply jumped to one of her Sparks - of which she had planted dozens. But that was fine. She needed them to be busy cleaning up or building walls - that was all a pointless fight in the end. While she made a lot of noise with her entry, she also secretly pushed out a secondary thread just underneath.

Images of being held between the Hawk's rock-hard thighs, wrapped in arms that were bands of steel. His voice murmuring her name over and over, calling her back, commanding her back. The roar of the crowd shook the walls, but Milo barely noticed. His focus narrowed to the ice, to the storm of blue jerseys waiting at the other end of the rink. The Blackmoor Vultures. Their first playoff game. They looked like hell. Even Logan Marrick, who had always strutted across the ice like a golden lion, looked pathetic and worn down, a shell of the man he used to be. The sight of it sent a dark, satisfied thrill through Milo.

Standing we wait and I hear the cars and bikes, I wave Rizzo out, watching as he steps out of the car and walks towards us followed by the other guys. “You can have Rizzo, but I want the others.” I turn and see Hawk. “One of those fuckers torched my bike!” Shit, turning I look back to Rizzo and his men. What fucking fools. Grayson nods. “That’s fine, but they die Hawk.” He looks at him and he nods. I laugh seeing them. “I see you had the pleasure of playing with Raven.” Rizzo’s shoulder is bleeding, and his guys look a little beaten. I’m fucking proud, but it does little to sedate the anger that radiates through me.

She searched his face for exaggeration, but Tank’s eyes were steady, his tone simple. “That’s Tank for you,” Hawk muttered, shaking his head. “Looks like a grizzly, heart like a damn teddy bear.” The laughter that followed was rough, genuine. ________________ Hawk tipped his head back, blowing smoke into the night. “Fine. My turn. Out on the I-40 run couple years ago, Jackals thought they could tail us. I cut back on ‘em, made ‘em eat gravel. You should’ve seen the look on that bastard’s face when his bike slid out.”

Like Mirko would’ve ever told her anything. For a moment, he stayed silent. I couldn't even say a word as I stared at them. I knew right after Mirko, I was next in line. That fire in her eyes... it wasn’t just rage. It was execution in motion. She wasn’t going to spare me. Mirko coughed, blood bubbling from his lips, then he chuckled weakly, a twisted grin creeping across his dying face. “You really thought I didn’t have a Plan B?” he rasped, his breath coming in short, shallow bursts.

Mira's husband fell silent the moment she pushed his drink to his lips. Tsk, tsk, tsk, what a way to silence your husband, Mira. Marco, who was sitting casually with one arm resting on the back of my chair, chimed in. "I heard you're Hazel's friend from high school. What a lasting friendship." Mira chuckled, meeting Marco's gaze without the slightest hint of fear. "And I plan to stay by her side forever. I'm her strongest ally, who will exterminate the evil insects around her."

The area is filled with people. People with different colored eyes. Red, Blue, Purple, Green, yellow Pink and so on!! Azraiel doesn’t let her come forward. She watches as he scans the area. It doesn’t look like they are here as a threat. “I am Alpha Azraiel Mickelson of the Blue Orchid Pack. I mean no harm but I want to know why you are here?” One blond female slips forward. “We don’t answer to anyone but our Alpha.” Another man comes to the front. “Yeah let her come forward. We are here for her!”

AVA Without another word, Hunter moves swiftly away from the lockers, passing by his two friends whose names I'm guessing are Preston and Gomorey. They had been gawking at Hunter with a mischievous grin playing on their lips, and Hunter didn't waste a chance to shoot them both with his penetrating glare. I noticed their pupils retrench as they stared at him, meaning they were conversing with each other through mindlink. It was brief, lasting a couple of seconds before Hunter turns left and straight down the now-empty halls.
