In search for some fresh air and tge view outside. He had strayed from his usual. Instead of espresso, he had gone for the more…he guessed, more tender café mocca. He picked up his spoon and caressed the top layer of his beverage for some time, before putting some in his mouth. Then, just then, something akin to guilt set in. Here he was, all relaxed on a nice warm sofa, spoiling himself with a glass of mocca. He was acting as if he hadn’t just been to the police station. As if Leah wasn’t grieving somewhere. There’s something eerie about him, yet I can’t pinpoint what it is, but his presence alone brings chills down my spine. I shake my thoughts away and focus on the task at hand. I love coffee. So much so that I have an espresso machine in my kitchen, which saves me some time from brewing it myself. I pour two small cups of espresso and a sufficient amount of hot water. Together, I bring it to the awaiting man sitting on the couch. “Here.” I’m about to put it on the table, but he reaches out his hand, giving me no choice but to hand it to him.

"I also got your coffee." I stretched the cup out to him. He took it and took a sip— And immediately spit it out. The entire court went silent. "What the hell is this?" Jax glared at the cup like I had handed him poison. "Black coffee. No sugar," I said, standing my ground. Jax slowly turned the cup, reading the label. "Caramel macchiato.” His expression darkened, like I had personally offended his entire bloodline. Oh, shit. He stepped closer, towering over me. "Do I look like I drink caramel macchiatos?"

As I was about to open the door, I heard the sound of something being spat out. "What the hell is this?" he asked angrily causing me to turn, he was so angry I could nearly see the steam coming from his ear. "Co-coffee." I stuttered as a reply. "What type of coffee?" he inquired "Plain black coffee like you requested," I answered starting to get nervous. Isn't it coffee that's in it? "Can't you just do something good for once, why are you so bad at following orders. First, you were late, secondly no coffee on my table and when it finally arrives it tastes horrible. So tell me, Miss Davies, just what can you do? " he asked angrily

He wiped the sweat on the edge of his forehead and said politely, "Miss Riddle, this is the café's new product. Since you have a deep understanding of our coffee, the café owner specially ordered me to send you a cup for you to have a taste." 'The café owner?' Nicole turned around and saw Jared casually playing with his coffee mug. When he saw her looking over at him, he smiled playfully and gestured for her to drink the coffee. Nicole felt like he seemed to want her to try the new product. She thought about it and raised her mug to have a sip indifferently. The new coffee was rich in flavor and was packed with a dense taste. It was not the usual taste of coffee, and she had few comments in

True to their word, they both were sitting at this small coffee shop and she had ordered after explaining to the waiter that she wanted minimum coffee with maximum milk. “Look at you. And Mochi? Mochi had scaled the first pillow fortress barrier and was waddling toward my side table with reckless purpose. “Mochi, no—” I shouted, but I moved too slowly. With the precision of a tiny shadow assassin, she headbutted the edge of my notebook, which knocked into my favorite mug, full of coffee I’d completely forgotten about yesterday. The cup teetered, paused dramatically like in a movie, and then crashed to the floor in a burst of ceramic and rapidly spreading caffeine.
