After everything he had been through, he needed this break to bask in the love and miracles around him.
Abel raised his coffee cup to his lips and took a sip, failing to hide the scrunching of his nose. He groaned, looking at Ashlyn.
"I miss Kass' coffee." Abel sighed. "Mila found this special decaf blend at the market and refuses to let me drink any of the good stuff," he pouted, placing his cup to the side of the screen. Ashlyn covered her laugh with her hand.
She's just looking out for you, Ashlyn answered, knowing that she would have done the same had she been in Mila's position. Anything that might help to prolong his life for just a little longer was worth trying.
