Monster Is Slain Werewolf Dies Novels & Stories

I said as Wentworth held up his hand. “Are you saying that it was an ambush?” he asked me. “Yes Sir, about nine wolves and three vampires were waiting for us outside. The vampires targeted Felix first and snapped his neck while Abeloth and I fought off the wolves separately. I could feel the poisonous gas in my system and one wolf managed to inject me with dragon venom. I killed him in close combat with my knife and the second man shifted into his wolf form and started biting me. I killed him too and Felix regained consciousness. That’s when the last vampire stood behind him and tore his throat out,” I said and lowered my head as I saw Felix die again and I choked back the emotions.

I stammered, trying to piece together the puzzle. Peter nodded at my words. "The dead bodies were those of the wolves that were not bitten by the rogue Lycan," he explained. "They were simply killed, not transformed into creatures like the others. It's a brutal sight, but it's nothing compared to what we're about to face." As his words sank in, a chilling realization washed over me: We were about to confront an army of bloodthirsty, unstoppable monsters. "So... we're not just dealing with one monster, but an entire pack of them." The weight of our predicament sank in as I realized the magnitude of the danger we were about to face.

I figured a shot from any of these would take any werewolf a lot of time to recover from, that's if it doesn't hit their heads or hearts. Kira collected one from me and Kate showed us how to use it. We stepped out of the room and heard gunshots coming from outside the cave. Then I heard a snarl behind us, without thinking,I turned and fired the gun at the werewolf standing before us. It hit his left arm and it winced in pain, Kate took the next shot and this time around, the bullet went straight to the head. Shattering his head as he fell to the ground dead. "Killing monsters is so much fun than hunting criminals," Kate said, smirking.

He begs for mercy, screaming and thrashing. I watch Bethany whisper something to the Liminal right before she drives her Lagorin switchblade through another hole in his chest. He goes still immediately. Deskar and all the ten fucking gods! Serarion Hogaron is dead. I am in awe of this woman called Bethany. But my awe is cut short when Mosley cries out, and I whirl to see that he's pinned by the only wolf shifter remaining. It's biting one of Mosley’s arms, trying to rip it off. He's covered in blood as he blasts the animal away with ice using his other arm, but then he goes slack.

The witches flopped back onto the ground, tired and wheezing. The oldest one—a woman so wrinkled she looked like a skeleton—spoke up, her voice rough as gravel. “I’ve got bad news,” she said. “Werewolves are being killed like chickens these days. A new kind of vampire—strong ones—hunts werewolves as though they lives depends on it.” Another elder, her eyes milky and blind, chimed in. “Ninety of ours are gone. Twenty-three alphas, the rest betas and omegas.”

I whisper, but he doesn’t answer. He lunges at me again, his claws aimed at my throat. But just as he’s about to strike, a blur of movement catches my eye. Nyx. She’s beside me in an instant, her claws slicing through the air and landing a fatal blow to Jacob’s side. He stumbles back, his eyes wide in disbelief. “No_” But it’s too late. The life fades from his eyes, and he crumples to the ground, his wolf form dissolving as the last breath leaves him.

Then she slammed both palms forward. The beam shot straight into the creature’s chest. The Void Revenant screamed as the lunar energy burned through its core. The monster convulsed violently. Cracks of silver light spread across its body. Then— BOOM. The creature exploded into fragments of shadow and ash. Silence crashed over the ruined church. Dust drifted slowly through the air. Seraphine exhaled heavily. “Well… that was unpleasant.” The immortal brushed debris from his coat. “Could’ve been worse.”

I rasped, feeling the greatest urge to finally fight and destroy the killer of the blood moon pack. "I rather die here than be killed by you both. I lost and I know it is useless to fight you as I will not only die, but face the most intense pain. Finally, I was the loser. The moon goddess finally ended me. But it isn't really over. Hutton is out there inflicting a demon spell on the wolves of this pack!" We both hear the spirit speak with grunts and struggle. Because there was no source of life or breath, a few seconds in the dead body could kill him.

I ask, trying to divert my thoughts. The wolf looks up, the surprise clear on his face. “No one told you?” I shake my head. “Once you’re banished from the coven, you’re forgotten. You stop existing in their eyes. I didn't even know she died until a few days ago.” “Damned witches,” he mumbles under his breath. “I don’t know what happened. Why it happened. I found her…she was murdered for sure, stabbed several times--” “By a werewolf?” I interrupt.

I’d not noticed her sat at the table, for she had shrunk down in her seat to avoid the glares of the other werewolves. ‘Luna?’ I mindlinked to Ares. ‘Scillian died.’ His throat bobbed. ‘Nazte killed him.’ I was still reeling from that revelation as disgruntled mumbles broke out around the table. “A Greyhide wolf?” someone muttered, too loudly to be intended to go unheard.
