**Melissa's POV** As Jasmine's words left her lips, a darkness clouded her eyes. In that moment, I recognized her intention to inflict severe harm upon me. Already feeling the throbbing in my cheeks, I refused to allow her to cause further damage. I had to find a way to defend myself before the situation spiraled out of control. Swiftly, I broke free from her grasp. "Where do you think you're going?" "Not this time, Jasmine. I won't let you hurt me ever again. You've already caused enough pain—taking away my powers and my mate! What more do you want from me?" Anger surged through me as I screamed out my frustration.

Chapter16 THE DREADFUL WALK LD We are walking, and Jessblue tells me about her life, but the monster in me is slowly taking over my mind and body. The next thing I know is I’m jumping on top of Jessblue and bite her neck from behind, forcing my fangs into her. My eyes roll back in my head from the taste of her blood, and I lock on to her neck. She tastes so fucking delicious. I must have her right now and claim her. I’m trying to stop the monster in me, but I can’t.

Melissa looks at us and sighs. "This is not going to work!" She says. "Everybody, get back." We look at her and then follow as she says. Melly closes her eyes and looks at the sky. The beasts charge towards her. "MELLYYY!" I scream. Melissa screams hard and just as the beasts surround her, a big lightning bold fires from the sky killing all them. Their bodies fall to the ground and Melly stands there gasping. She looks at us and smiles. We all run to her and hug.
