Miranda/Laila’s POV To be frank, I couldn’t understand why this man, Mr. Williams, was so insistent on making my life miserable. Ever since I walked into the Emperor’s Company as Laila, he had been an active conspirator with my stepmother, Hamilton, and her daughter, Mara. They were all set on ensuring I wouldn’t become the CEO. Little did they know, I was not just Laila; I was Miranda, and I was more prepared than any of them could imagine. Every word, every action they took against Laila before her untimely death, would be repaid tenfold. Today wasn’t just about taking control of this company—it was about serving long-overdue justice.

I paused, breathing out, “Overwhelming. So I cried. Just a little. But that’s between you and me, okay? No one else can know. Not even your Alpha.” Naia’s eyes went round. “Not even my Mama?” “Not even her.” She nodded, serious now. “Alright.” I held out my pinky. “Promise?” Naia hooked her small pinky around mine. “I promise.” Just then, the elevator doors slid open with a soft chime. Standing right there was a glowing pregnant woman with the same warm brown skin and kind eyes as Naia. Her smile was gentle, curious as her gaze shifted from her daughter to me.

He was semi-unconscious, but Zeta Eli's hands didn't stop; he was hitting him even after he was unconscious. Zeta Eli didn't know what he was feeling and why he was hitting him so much. He was glad that Mirror Wolf Isabella was alive, which they found after so many years, and on the other hand, it was bothering him what she must have suffered all these years. Even after suffering so much torture, she did not open her mouth and did not let the Vanara Pack know that Gamma Kai was alive; otherwise, they would not have sent the gift today.

Miranda could tell right away that Lena carried the disciplined air of a soldier. She was surprised that someone so young was already an elite pilot. As Lena looked at Miranda, a spark of recognition and excitement lit up her face. “You’re Miranda Stone? I’ve seen you in the news! I can’t believe I’m meeting you in person. You’re incredible.” Miranda gave a modest smile. “You’re very impressive yourself.”

She caressed her. "I have lost many things in my life but not anymore... I promise! I am going to fight for you..." She kissed her forehead. "You shouldn't make the promises you can't keep, little fire!" Damon mocked standing behind her. Mira started fuming in anger when she heard him. She turned around and grabbed his collar. "What do you think of yourself?" She spat angrily. Damon grabbed her hands and twisted behind her back, making her moan in pain. He grabbed a fistful of her braided hair, holding her in place.

He shoved Spencer gently but firmly back onto the couch. Miranda, who had disappeared moments earlier, burst back into the room clutching a glass of pineapple juice. "Drink this," she urged, handing it over. Spencer sat up weakly and took a big gulp, his hands trembling slightly around the glass. "Adriana is so annoying," Miranda huffed, pacing. "I knew she was up to something when she pulled Monica aside. And when she sent me off to get her water, they were both gone by the time I came back."

Now I know that his injuries were on me. “Now I have a name to go with his face,” Alpha Reese quietly advised. Luna Kiara then showed a few of their memories, showing that Miranda was the one spreading the false rumors around that she was going to be my Luna. There were at least twenty occasions shown on the screen where Miranda bragged to whoever would listen to her that she would be made Luna. Including the time when my mother noticed them talking and confronted them. My mother hadn’t misheard anything. I should have known that Miranda was lying when my mother mentioned it to me.
