She had stopped wanting to live especially she had nothing to live for. Zinnia Vesper, an extremely beautiful she wolf, Zinnia once had a family, her loving parents and younger brother were her everything until her 18th birthday. The day was supposed to be the happiest day of her life turned into a worst one for her when she shifted into a beautiful wolf yet the power radiating from it screamed one thing.

Soft, warm light. Delicious food on the table. And her special drink. No one else was there. Only Valera, me, and my pet cat, Vee. “Thank you for inviting me, Luna,” she said. “I never expected this.” I smiled and pushed the drink toward her. “You deserve it, Valera. You’ve worked so hard.” She hesitated, then picked up the glass. Our fingers brushed. I watched closely. Just one sip. And the problem would be gone.

Honey commanded Vera calmly. She had no grudge against Vera because both Xyla and Honey knew that Naomi suppressed Vera before her eighteenth birthday and weakened her by using magic potions. Vera bobbed her snout a few times before she ran towards Honey. Beast growled lowly, threatening her not to hurt Honey. Vera didn’t pay attention to him and circled around them a few times, a golden light coming out of her body, merging in the circle around Honey and Beast. Her form started fading with every full circle.

The only thing that mattered was the woman in front of me refusing to break. Nyx hovered above, laughing that cold, ringing laugh. “Look at him,” she called down. “The great Nightmoor alpha, standing there useless while his mate drowns in power she can’t control. How poetic.” I bared my teeth. “Keep talking. Makes it easier to remember where I’ll aim when this is over.” Vera glanced back at me—just a quick look over her shoulder. Her emerald eyes were bright, too bright, like stars about to burn out. But she smiled. Small. Tired. Real.

Vera scoffed, "The cave of horrors is the only thing that can settle this matter. A witch cannot survive there, her powers would consume her. Only those connected to the one power can be saved." She looked from me to Morgana, "And both of them are." "And what if Amara is not the moon goddess reborn?" Benita voiced. "Then," Vera mused, an evil smirk forming on her face. "She dies."

I said venom lacing my every word as I got off the bed stepping closer to her causing her eye's to widen. "Don't be intimidated, she is only a child" the demons voice rang out or at least that's what I think he is. Turning my head over I look at him "but I'm quiet excited to keep her around" he said smirking his dark eyes staring into my blue grey one's. "Well, is she up?" another voice came as the door opened "oh, looks like she is" looking over I see another woman but this one was wearing a deep red. Her killer cheekbones looked as if they were almost engraved in her face "Im Vera" she said reaching her hand out to me.

Vera was razor-beautiful. Tall, lethal, with a mouth made for snarling. Her long black hair was braided tight like a crown of warning thorns. Her authority came not from softness, but from fear. She hated Veronica instantly. “If it looks like a whore and acts like a whore,” Vera sneered, repeating her mantra one morning.
