The Monster Within

The Monster Within

I made a plan that night to end her. The next night my parents had a big important party with some of my father’s clients from work. I knew that Rose would be over. When she arrived my mother kissed my forehead and left with my father. The sun hadn’t set yet so I asked Rose to go for a walk with me. She agreed and we took off into the woods behind my house. I got ahead of her and then made her think she had lost me. While she frantically looked for me I snuck behind her. I found a large piece of wood and crept up behind her. She heard the brush below my feet break as I approached her and quickly turned around. I then unleashed the Monster inside me. It was brutal and very sloppy. I honestly

My Monster

My Monster

Really pretty. "Danika," I reply, shaking her hand. Her skin is very cool. The thought creeps in before I can stop it. What if she's not human either? The classroom suddenly feels too small, too loud, and too bright. My pulse quickens. Ever since Kaziel came into my life, the lines between reality and impossible have blurred so much that I can't tell what's real anymore. It's like the supernatural cracked something open in my brain, and now, even when I'm surrounded by humans, I can't stop seeing monsters.

Okay so I won't lie, I was tempted to stop reading at one point. I felt it was going slower than I like, and I didn't understand why this super strong tribrid was the way he was. BOY WAS I IN FOR IT. I'm glad I didn't stop reading. That twist was.. WOW. Was NOT expecting it. I enjoyed this story!

I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book of this saga. The author doesn't leave an question unanswered or unnecessarily drag the story out. The ability to keep the continuity of the story from beginning to end, was spot on. A great read!

When Monsters Mate

When Monsters Mate

Ancient magic pulsed faintly underfoot, woven into the stone circle that marked the ceremonial space. I wore black. A deep midnight gown, sleeveless and floor-length, with a slit high up my thigh and silver embroidery curling like smoke along the hem. My dark hair was pulled back, braided and pinned with thin silver chains, tiny crystal fangs glinting at the ends like secrets. They had said to dress like a bride. But I didn’t feel like one. I felt like bait. Guests had arrived in full force. Elders from both sides. Powerful wolves cloaked in muted leathers and blood red sashes. Vampires in opulent coats and ivory gloves, the scent of cold moonlight trailing them like perfume. And of course;

Every Bad girl needs a Bad boy

Every Bad girl needs a Bad boy

I lock my doors, and barricade it with my dresser, then I close the curtains, sitting on my bed I’m thinking how I lock myself up from the outside world. With these four walls I created my world, a world that was full of fear. In my world Barry is a monster who had no heart, that only brings pain and misery. For a few weeks I was doing good keeping the monster away from me until one afternoon I came out of my room to head to the bathroom. Then suddenly out of nowhere the monster strike grabbing me from behind.

The Mafia Debt

The Mafia Debt

I threw a glance at Aria, making sure she was still asleep before taking Grace's small hand in mine. Her fingers wrapped tightly around mine as she led me down the hallway, her small feet padding softly on the floor. The house was quiet except for the distant hum of the heater. Her room was dim, lit only by her nightlight….a ridiculous pink unicorn I'd bought her last month and a sliver of moonlight through the curtains. "Where did you see these monsters?" I asked, crouching down to her level. She pointed a tiny finger toward her closet, then under her bed. "Everywhere," she whispered dramatically.

The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!

The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!

“That’s your fault.” He scoffed. “You set half the hallway on fire.” More growls. Dozens this time. Doors started opening on both sides. One by one, monsters slithered out. Witches cloaked in red mist. Wolf hybrids with stitched jaws. Blood mages with blindfolds and blades fused into their forearms. Soldiers. Experiments. Killers. Ashton grinned. “You still don’t want to split up?” “Not unless you want to die without me.”

To Marry a Monster

To Marry a Monster

I hung up before he could respond. I turned back to my violin, but the melody felt different now. Darker. The 'modern werewolf' world was supposed to be civilized, with its galas and its suits, but underneath it all, it was still just a pit of vipers. And tomorrow, at the Blood Moon Reunion Gala, I was going to play for the biggest snake of them all. I looked at the marks on my arms from the old woman at the infirmary. Find Janet Blackwell. Don't forget Rickey Afolayan.

The Reaper's Harem: My Monster Mates

The Reaper's Harem: My Monster Mates

My dirty question just hangs in the quiet room. Instead of getting mad, the doctor—who is literally just a giant eyeball dressed like a white nun—laughs. Her voice echoes right inside my head like a sweet, happy bell. "I'm so sorry, sweetie," she purrs. "But I lost those kinds of...urges when my body mutated. But hey, if you're into monsters, I highly recommend my coworker." Right on cue, the heavy curtain at the back of the clinic pushes open. A huge guy steps out into the bright light.

Black Ridge Academy

Black Ridge Academy

There was no keyhole—just a flat, smooth piece of black stone. "A blood-lock," Lisa muttered, frowning. "Dang it. This makes things harder. Zara, I need you to—" Before she could finish, the room became freezing cold. The fire in the fireplace suddenly grew small and dim. My heart beat wildly against my ribs. The burning in my chest got so hot it made my eyes blurry. Then I heard a sound. It wasn't in the hallway. It was right above us on the ceiling. I looked up and gasped. Three monsters made of thick black smoke were crawling down the walls. They had scary skeleton frames and long, gray wooden fingers that scraped against the wall.
