I muttered, scared that if the monsters spread how I had come to Raven's room, it'd get to the hearing of both Lucian and Thorne. "Is that what you want?" he asked softly, cupping my face in his cold, steady hands. My eyes reached for his, and I nodded my head. "Alright. I will be right back. Once I talk to them, they won't say a word." With that, he went out of his room. With just one word from him, every monster on the fifth floor came out from their various rooms. Somewhere were vampires, ghouls, and somewhere dragons. I stood by the door, listening to the conversation he was having with them.

“You should go downstairs and keep watching TV with Keith. You’ve got work tomorrow, and… I’m okay.” He watched me a long second, like he was measuring the truth on a scale. “Well, there are no monsters in the closet.” His gaze flicked to the bathroom door. “What about in there?” My pulse dropped like a stone. Hayden was in there. Breathing. Existing. Being about two seconds away from becoming a dead body if my father walked in. I darted forward, planting myself in front of the door with my best casual shrug. “No monsters in the bathroom. Trust me. I checked. Twice.”

I was more than eased and pushed her willingly to go back as to not miss her morning classes. With that, I was quite relieved and decided to take a shower. I came out wearing nothing more than a towel I headed straight for my closet, when I noticed that my door was ajar, I went and closed it when my closet door swung itself open.
